Highlights
Only 10% of Xbox players have completed their first Featured Multiplayer event in Forza Motorsport, reflecting a lack of interest in the online racing mode.
Despite the requirement of making a purchase to play, an astonishing 27.5% of Steam players who acquired the game have reached the same milestone. This lack of attention towards the Featured Multiplayer mode might stem from its specific matchmaking sessions and predetermined start and end times, which could discourage players from fully immersing themselves in the online experience.
Content about the new game, Forza Motorsport, has garnered attention due to its surprisingly low statistic among both PC and Xbox players. The game was released on October 10, and fans quickly immersed themselves in the exhilarating experience of racing against others in multiplayer mode. As a new addition to the Game Pass library, Forza Motorsport offers a plethora of fresh content and fast-paced racing action. This game serves as a reboot of the subseries that concluded with Forza Motorsport 7 in 2017, so players were eager to see what Xbox Game Studios had in store for them. Despite the high number of players who logged in during the game's launch last week, one particular achievement reveals a perplexing statistic related to multiplayer modes.
According to True Achievements, the In the Big Leagues achievement has been achieved by only about 10% of Xbox players. This achievement is earned by completing the first Featured Multiplayer event in Forza Motorsport. Featured Multiplayer is one of the online modes available in the game, allowing players from all over the world to participate in scheduled series and events. It adds an element of dedicated immersion as players must join at a specific time. Despite its numerous benefits, Xbox players appear to show less enthusiasm in qualifying for online races in Featured Multiplayer.
At the moment, 27.5% of Steam players who own and play Forza Motorsport have obtained the In the Big Leagues achievement, which is surprising considering that the Game Pass service allows Xbox players to easily switch between games. This is not the case for Steam players, who need to make a purchase to play the new Forza game. Therefore, the inclusion of the Featured Multiplayer mode is likely to be appealing since it enables crossplay functionality.
In the Featured Multiplayer mode, players from different regions can participate in special events through specific matchmaking sessions. However, it seems that a significant number of players are overlooking this mode, potentially due to factors like the qualifiers and the fixed start and end times. It should be noted that Forza Motorsport has only been available for a little over a week, so these numbers may change, particularly if special events continue to be offered in the Featured Multiplayer mode.
Forza Motorsport is available for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
