The Genshin Impact image showcases the different sizes of dragons in the game, with the largest being the Dendro elemental dragon Apep found in the Sumeru region.
Apep is a well-known boss encounter whose loot materials are utilized for constructing the newly introduced characters, including Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet.
Remarkably, Dvalin, despite its smaller stature, triumphed over the mighty shadow dragon Durin, causing it to crash into the Vindagnyr mountain and earning the region its new name, Dragonspine.
A fascinating image in Genshin Impact presents a comparison of the sizes of various dragons found in the world of Teyvat. This vast continent is populated with formidable creatures, often requiring players to engage in battles in order to progress in the main storyline or gather desired resources.
Within the early cutscenes of Genshin Impact, Travelers encounter Venti, the Anemo Archon, who attempts to appease Dvalin, the Anemo elemental dragon residing in Mondstadt. Dvalin, like numerous other dragons in Teyvat, holds a pivotal role in the game's overall narrative and is a key aspect of the weekly domain encounter, Confront Stormterror.
A Reddit user named some_evil_sanya has shared an intriguing image comparing the sizes of various dragons encountered in Genshin Impact's main storyline. The largest living dragon in the game currently is Apep, the Dendro elemental dragon. Apep was once the ruler of the Sumeru region and players can now engage in a Weekly Boss fight against him in the Guardian of Apep's Oasis domain. Although players only see Apep's silhouette during the fight, it is evident that he surpasses all other dragons in size.
Apep has become a popular boss fight due to the valuable drop materials used for crafting recent character releases like Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Many fans in the comment section speculate that Dvalin appears smaller than the others because the game developers had to resize his model to maintain consistency with the boss fight.
Despite its smaller size, Dvalin managed to defeat Durin, the shadow dragon that is believed to be much larger than the Anemo dragon according to the chart. Durin was created by the infamous alchemist Rhinedottir, who is also known as the Great Sinner.
Durin attacked Mondstadt 500 years ago, before the current timeline of the game, and after its defeat, the dragon's remains fell on the Vindagnyr mountain. This is why the mountain is now referred to as Dragonspine. Some fans in the comment section suggest that HoYoverse should introduce a time travel mechanic that would enable them to encounter creatures like Elynas, who appears to be the largest one in the group, according to a fan-made image.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
