There seems to be no animosity between Michael B. Jordan and Steve Harvey, despite their past connection. After more than a year since ending his relationship with Steve's daughter Lori Harvey, the 36-year-old Creed actor and the 66-year-old host of Family Feud came together again at the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2023 on Thursday, October 5.
The NBA's official Instagram page shared a clip where Jordan and Steve hugged, exchanging smiles and whispers at #NBAinAbuDhabi.
Fans commented on the friendly interaction, but some also pointed out the potential awkwardness of the situation. "NBA knew what they were doing by sharing this," one user jokingly remarked. Another user praised the NBA's social media team for their clever and humorous approach, stating, "They've got a cold sense of humor. Respect."

Speculations were made about the conversation between Jordan and Steve, with suggestions such as, "Hey man, you should give my daughter a call," and "What happened between you and Lori?"
Lori, who is currently 26 years old, publicly acknowledged her involvement with the actor from Black Panther through an Instagram post in January 2021, after initial rumors of their romance in late 2020. They later appeared together for the first time on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March 2022.
On his talk show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, the comedian expressed his fondness for Jordan after their relationship became public. He humorously mentioned that he still keeps an eye on him, but like he does with others, he made a playful remark about reserving a small part of his heart for pure animosity towards Jordan, just in case. Steve joked in March 2021 that he intentionally attempted to resist liking Jordan.
“I have made it a point to scrutinize him thoroughly, hoping to unearth any flaws … because I have dismissed all of [Lori’s previous boyfriends],” he revealed on The Ellen Degeneres Show. “This individual is genuinely remarkable, man. He is truly one of the most affable individuals. I have had the pleasure of meeting his father and engaging in lengthy conversations with him, and yet, I am unable to discover any imperfections.”
Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey ended their relationship in June 2022, as confirmed by Us.
Steve, who became Lori's adoptive father when he married Marjorie Harvey in 2007, openly discussed the split on his talk show the following day. Despite their breakup, Steve still regards him as a decent person based on the limited information he has. Understanding that breakups are a common occurrence, Steve remains hopeful that they will both be able to move forward and recover from this. However, he does express a desire to have handled their separation earlier, as it came with significant financial consequences. Steve acknowledges the wisdom in his children's abilities to recognize the need for early exits in relationships, realizing that he waited far too long to do the same.
"I'm unequivocally on Lori's team," he emphasized. "She's my beloved daughter, and I wholeheartedly stand by her."
Steve chimed in, expressing his perspective, "Listen, as long as everyone can part ways amicably and remain friends, I haven't heard any reports of vandalizing or any destructive actions. The only thing that matters to me is that you keep your hands off my daughter; what you choose to do beyond that is of no concern to me."
Jordan and Steve's recent reunion in public is their first since Jordan and Lori ended their relationship. Based on the warmth of the interaction, it appears that Steve has honored his promise.
As for Lori, she made her new relationship with actor Damson Idris public this summer.
