Meghan Markle made a special visit to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for story time as part of the Make March Matter campaign. She surprised the young patients by reading books like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat, and I Saw a Cat during Literally Healing story time last month.

During her visit, the 42-year-old not only read to the kids but also helped them with STEM-focused activities related to each book. It was a fun and educational experience for everyone involved.

During her visit to the hospital on Tuesday, April 2, Markle was seen wearing a sheer blouse and floral-print skirt. She completed her outfit with black flats and a black face mask.

After spending time reading to the kids, Markle took pictures with some of the patients, who seemed thrilled to see her.

Markle went to the hospital as a part of the Make March Matter campaign by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This fundraiser has raised more than $10 million since 2016.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has a program called Literally Healing, which gives patients' families over 65,000 books every year. This program not only promotes literacy but also strengthens families through the power of literary resources. Meghan Markle is a supporter of this program.

Markle and Prince Harry have prioritized charity work in their relationship since getting married in May 2018. They established a nonprofit organization called the Archewell Foundation in 2020 with the goal of driving cultural transformation.

In December 2023, a source revealed to Us that Meghan continues to be deeply committed to charitable endeavors, particularly those aligned with Archewell. The insider shared that all her decisions are guided by the mission of the foundation.

In that same month, Archewell revealed that Markle introduced the Welcome Project, a program run by women to help Afghan women who have recently resettled.

Apart from her charity work, Markle is getting ready to introduce her new business endeavor - American Riviera Orchard. She made the announcement on Instagram on March 14 about the lifestyle brand, which is believed to be a continuation of her previous blog, The Tig.

Per Markle’s application, the venture will include domestic items, including cutlery, cookbooks and jarred foods.
