Megan Fox has openly discussed her previous challenges with fertility, sharing in a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily that her miscarriage experience was much more difficult than she had expected. The 37-year-old actress reflected on her struggles, including a past ectopic pregnancy, and other undisclosed issues that she chose not to reveal.
The actress chose not to provide more details about her ectopic pregnancy, where a fetus develops outside the womb, most commonly in a fallopian tube instead of the uterus. Consequently, the fetus cannot survive outside the uterus, leading to a loss of pregnancy. Fox recently shared in her poetry book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous that she faced a miscarriage privately while dating Machine Gun Kelly. (The actress and the rapper have been in a relationship since 2020.)
Fox spoke with WWD and expressed her gratitude for Kelly's support, saying, "I’ve been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with. And so that love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering."

He also incorporated our experiences into his music, writing a few songs about the miscarriage. I felt it was important to publicly address this, especially since he has already shared his perspective. I wanted to have my own space to express myself as well."
Fox and Kelly, also known as Colson Baker, both have children from previous relationships. Fox has three kids - Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Kelly has a 14-year-old daughter named Casie, whom he shares with his ex Emma Cannon.
In a recent interview on Good Morning America, Fox mentioned that her recent miscarriage was different from anything she had ever experienced in her life.
"It was a challenging experience for both of us, with three kids to consider. It led us on a tumultuous journey, both together and separately, as we tried to make sense of it all and understand why it happened," Fox explained.

Fox credits Kelly as the inspiration behind her decision to write a poetry book and open up about their experience with miscarriage. "I just felt like it was something I needed to express, because not doing so was affecting my health," she said.
Kelly and Fox got engaged in 2022, but they put their wedding plans on hold after a major argument at a Super Bowl party earlier this year. They are now prioritizing strengthening their relationship before resuming their wedding preparations, according to a source who spoke exclusively to We in October.
