Megan Fox Credits Machine Gun Kelly for His Unwavering Support: Reflects on Past Relationships

Megan Fox opens up about her transformative past relationships and finds solace in the support of her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, while writing her latest poetry book

Megan Fox is acknowledging her responsibility in her turbulent previous relationships. On an upcoming episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, scheduled to be broadcast on Friday, November 10, the 37-year-old actress spoke candidly to host Drew Barrymore about her romantic past and her present engagement with her partner, Machine Gun Kelly.

Barrymore, who is 48 years old, inquired about how Fox deals with fans who speculate that the lyrics of the rapper, who is 33 years old, are about her. Fox expressed that she has learned to let it go.

"I've come across some of his song lyrics and questioned whether we should really bring that up," Fox remarked. "However, I've come to accept that if it's the truth, then it's the truth. I am responsible for my actions and my role in a relationship, and if someone wants to express that through art, they are entitled to do so."

Fox also mentioned that in her relationship with Kelly (real name Colson Baker), they provide support for each other. This support encompasses Fox's debut poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which portrays him in ways that may not always be flattering.

"I believe it's beneficial that he's also an artist and understands that he has a means of release through songwriting—a way for him to express his pain," Fox explained.

“As an actor, I don't have the opportunity to infuse my own experiences and pain into my art because I am merely reciting someone else's dialogue,” she explained. “However, he understood my need for a creative outlet to alleviate my suffering. When you truly love someone, you shouldn't deny them the chance to find relief from their pain.”

The actress added, “Anyone who dated me in my early 20s should probably write their own poetry book, because I was not a peach.”

In the book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, released on Tuesday, November 7, Fox describes Kelly as her "true love, twin flame," using a term she previously associated with the musician. However, elsewhere in the book, she refers to him as a "32-year-old narcissist" and a "complacent rock star." In a poem titled "A beautiful boy is a deadly drug," Fox appears to draw a comparison between her relationship with Kelly and an addiction that cannot be cured by prayers. She confesses, "You are causing my demise, but I cannot let go."

Fox also disclosed that she experienced a miscarriage during their relationship. She vividly remembered viewing an ultrasound of her daughter when she was 10 weeks and one day pregnant, expressing thoughts like "Perhaps if you hadn't...perhaps if I had."

Since 2022, Fox and Kelly have been engaged, but rumors of their breakup emerged this year. A source exclusively informed We in February that the couple had a significant argument at a Super Bowl party in Arizona. As a result, Fox deleted all of her Instagram photos featuring Kelly.

The couple's wedding plans were reported to be on hold last month as they prioritize strengthening their relationship. Fox is a mother to three children - Noah (10), Bodhi (9), and Journey (7) - from her previous marriage to Brian Austin Green, while Kelly has a daughter named Casie (14) from her past relationship with Emma Cannon.
