Kirara is the newest addition to Inazuma's roster in the version 3.7 update of Genshin Impact. As a Youkai resembling a cat with twin tails, she has quickly become a fan favorite due to her charming personality. Despite initial leaks suggesting she would be a 5-star Geo character, Kirara joins the roster as a 4-star Dendro character. This addition gives Dendro more characters than Geo, despite being introduced later in the game.
Kirara's role as a courier for Komaniya Express is reflected in her kit. Her Elemental Skill creates a shield, and holding it transforms her into a cat-in-a-box, making exploration easier and faster. While she can technically be built as an on-field DPS character, she is most effective as a shielder who provides Dendro application for elemental reactions. Her build should prioritize HP, as her shield scales from this stat. Elemental Mastery is also recommended to enhance her support abilities, as some of her damage skills partially scale with HP.

2pc HP 20% + 2pc HP 20%, 4pc Tenacity of the Milelith, 4pc Deepwood Memories, 2pc HP 20% + 2pc EM + 80, and 4pc Noblesse Oblige are all sets of artifacts that can greatly enhance your character's abilities. Each set has its own unique bonuses, so it's important to choose the right set for your character's playstyle and role in the team. The Key of Khaj-Nisut, Freedom Sworn, Xiphos' Moonlight, Sapwood Blade, and Favonius Sword are all weapons that can also affect your character's stats and abilities. Consider experimenting with different artifact and weapon combinations to find the one that works best for your character.

Kirara Best Artifact In Genshin Impact
The ideal artifact set for Kirara depends on the role assigned to her within the team composition. For optimal HP scaling, it is recommended to combine the 2-piece Tenacity of the Millelith set with the 2-piece Vourukasha's Glow set. This setup enhances both her damage output and shielding abilities. However, for players aiming to maximize her shield strength, especially when pairing her with characters who benefit from ATK scaling like Alhaitham or Yae, it may be beneficial to go for the 4-piece Tenacity of the Milelith set.
Another viable option is the 4-piece Deepwood Memories set, which is particularly useful when at least two Dendro characters are in the team, and the other character is not using Deepwood Memories. This set enhances the strength of Dendro reactions. Alternatively, players can mix and match sets that focus on HP% and Elemental Mastery (EM) bonuses to create a hybrid build and make up for insufficient EM from substats alone. The Noblesse Oblige set, known for its universal support capabilities, is also a viable option. The 2-piece bonus benefits Kirara's Elemental Burst, which deals significant damage on its own, and the 4-piece set bonus benefits other characters in the team that scale with ATK. This provides additional flexibility in team composition and support potential.
In terms of stats, it is advisable to prioritize the HP% stat for the main stats on the timepiece, goblet, and circlet artifacts unless there is a substantial lack of energy recharge or Elemental Mastery from sub-stats. The substat priority should follow the order of HP% > EM > Energy Recharge > Flat HP to maximize Kirara's potential. For players equipping the Favonius Sword on Kirara, it is also recommended to prioritize Crit Rate to ensure consistent energy generation for the team.
As Kirara's strength is closely tied to her HP, the Key of Khaj-Nisut is the ideal weapon for her. This weapon not only increases her HP but also boosts her Elemental Mastery and that of her team based on her HP. This makes it a great choice for players who prioritize the HP% stat while also gaining a significant amount of EM. Currently, the Key of Khaj-Nisut is the only sword with HP% as its primary stat, setting it apart from other options. However, since it is a limited 5-star weapon, it may not be readily available to many players. The second-best option, Freedom-Sworn, is also a limited weapon. Fortunately, there are viable 4-star alternatives that players can consider.
The Xiphos' Moonlight is the top choice for a 4-star weapon to enhance Kirara's Elemental Mastery and Dendro reaction abilities. This gacha weapon not only boosts Kirara's Elemental Mastery but also provides Energy Recharge to Kirara and her team based on her Elemental Mastery, making her a valuable battery for the team. For players who prefer a free-to-play option, the Sapwood Blade is a strong contender among 4-star choices. This forgeable weapon not only assists with energy recharge for more consistent Burst uptime but also buffs a character's Elemental Mastery when Kirara triggers its ability. Refining the Sapwood Blade is also relatively easy, making it an effective choice.
The Favonius Sword is another 4-star option suitable for players interested in increasing Kirara's battery potential. However, building her with this weapon may require players to prioritize Crit Rate along with other stats, which can be challenging. Despite this, the Favonius Sword remains a decent option for players who have yet to unlock the forgeable weapons in the Sumeru region or have not been fortunate enough to obtain Xiphos' Moonlight. This gacha weapon has been widely accessible since the game's launch.
Genshin Impact is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version currently in development.
