Mauricio Umansky was taken aback by the sudden end of his run on Dancing With the Stars.
"Being shocked and surprised is an understatement," admitted Umansky, 53, in an exclusive interview with We on Tuesday, October 31. He had just finished performing an Argentine tango to Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" alongside his partner, Emma Slater.
The couple earned a score of 31 out of 40 from the judges, and they received an additional 2 bonus points from the group dance later in the show. This brought their total score to 33. However, they ended up at the bottom with Harry Jowsey and Lindsay Arnold, and as a result, they were ultimately eliminated from the competition. The Buying Beverly Hills star expressed their shock and uncertainty about why and how they were eliminated, but ultimately accepted the outcome.
During the joint interview, Slater noted that she was thrilled by how far she and Umansky have come on the dancing competition show.

“I find Mauricio to be an incredibly inspiring individual. He has been an outstanding source of support and friendship to me. Getting to know him has truly been a blessing,” she excitedly expressed to Us. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be dance partners and look forward to a lifelong friendship with him.”
Umansky hinted at future collaborations with Slater, suggesting that their time on the dance floor is far from over. The duo developed a strong connection during their partnership on season 24 of DWTS. Recent speculation about a possible romance between Umansky and Slater arose when they were seen holding hands during a dinner outing in Beverly Hills. However, the pair clarified that it was not a date, considering Umansky's ongoing separation from his wife Kyle Richards.
"For absolute clarity, let me make it clear that we are not involved in a romantic relationship," Umansky stated in an Instagram Story video on Thursday, October 26. "We have been passionately dancing together for a continuous period of six weeks, dedicating four hours each day without fail."

Slater expressed, "Our personalities are quite similar. Our relationship is incredibly supportive. Last week was filled with intense emotions, but our support for each other remains unwavering. It's a beautiful thing, and we are always there for one another."
Richards, aged 54, further intensified the speculations surrounding Umansky and Slater when questioned about the pictures.
"It was incredibly difficult to witness. It deeply saddened me," expressed the star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to Andy Cohen during Watch What Happens Live on October 25. "I simply don't believe you hold hands like that with someone... I can't say for certain if anything has transpired, but evidently, there is a connection. Look, I still hold a great affection for him, and we maintain a cordial relationship. However, that incident truly wounded me."

Umansky expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of his family throughout his journey on DWTS. He expressed his joy at having his children and loved ones by his side, including his three daughters with Richards and stepdaughter, Farrah. Their presence and encouragement have greatly uplifted him, and he couldn't be more grateful for their unwavering support.
