Where to Find the Kinetic Boomerang
At the beginning of Chapter 4, Fortnite introduced Kinetic Ore to its players, a rock that possesses weaponizable properties. The introduction of this ore led to the creation of the Kinetic Blade in Season 2, and now, in Season 3, the Kinetic Boomerang has been added to the game. In this guide, players will discover where to locate the Kinetic Boomerang on the Fortnite Battle Royale map and how to effectively use it against enemy players and the dangerous wildlife that hide within the jungle.
Despite being classified as an Epic rarity weapon, obtaining the Kinetic Boomerang in Fortnite should pose no significant challenge for gamers. This powerful weapon can be readily obtained as regular floor loot across the entire map or by searching Boomerang stands.
Players can find multiple Boomerang stands scattered throughout Shady Stilts, a jungle point of interest introduced in Chapter 4 Season 3. To obtain a Kinetic Boomerang from one of these stands, players must approach it and hold down the "search" option. The Kinetic Boomerang will then drop to the ground, allowing players to pick it up. These stands exclusively carry the Kinetic Boomerang as loot. However, if players prefer not to search for it, they can purchase it directly from Guardian Amara for 250 gold bars. Guardian Amara can always be found at Brutal Bastion, located in the northeastern part of the map.
How to Use the Kinetic Boomerang
The Kinetic Boomerang functions similarly to a standard boomerang, with players throwing it and it returning after a short period of time. However, its unique Kinetic Ore properties provide it with additional capabilities. Players can recall the boomerang mid-flight, causing a small explosion upon its return. To use the Kinetic Boomerang, players simply need to press the shoot button to throw and the target button to recall. While dealing 60 damage to opponents and 100 damage to structures may not be as powerful as other weapons, the boomerang's trajectory allows for wider area coverage.
