Dragons are a common fantasy element in medieval settings, and in Final Fantasy 16, players frequently encounter these formidable creatures in battles. Given their immense size and destructive abilities, it is logical for them to serve as the guardians of progress in the game's main storyline.
However, players can also engage in optional battles against dragons, which provide an even greater challenge. One such battle involves the Notorious Mark bounty hunt activity within the hideaway. For those seeking to defeat the highly rated mark known as Svarog as part of the Ruin Awakened hunt in Final Fantasy 16, here are all the essential details to be aware of.

How to Beat Svarog in Final Fantasy 16
Unlocking the Bounty HuntTo unlock the bounty hunt, players must first reach the main quest called "Fire in the Sky". Once this quest is completed, their next destination should be Nektar. In Nektar, players can take up the task of eliminating Svarog, a formidable creature. The monstrous beast can be found in Sanbreque, specifically in the southern end of Mornebrume. To reach there quickly, players should utilize the Caer Norvent Glorieuse Gate Obelisk for fast travel. From there, head southeast to encounter Svarog and begin the exhilarating bounty hunt.
To ensure a fair fight against the formidable Svarog, an S-rank opponent, only players who possess considerable strength or combat skills should dare to face it. Otherwise, the consequences could be catastrophic. Nevertheless, acquiring knowledge about the following strategies will greatly level the playing field when battling Svarog.
Being a dragon, Svarog possesses the ability to launch devastating melee assaults using its formidable claws and powerful wings. Therefore, it is crucial to remain vigilant and avoid being ensnared by these attacks when in close proximity to the enemy. The same caution should be exercised when confronted with Svarog's flame or laser attacks. Despite their relatively forgiving timing, dodging these attacks is still possible at your discretion.
When Svarog activates Blazing Legion, a cascade of fireballs descends on Clive, moving slowly enough to allow easy maneuvering. However, impatience should be avoided while avoiding these fireballs.
In Red Dawn, two pillars of flames slowly advance towards Clive, narrowing the gap. To overcome this, Clive can either sidestep them early on or dodge towards Svarog towards the end, closing the distance.
An equally perilous assault is the Embroil technique, characterized by a plummeting fireball that upon impact, transforms into an expanding ring of fire. Subsequently, this ring fragments into smaller rings, which will ultimately detonate. Evade this offensive maneuver at any expense, initially by evading with agile movements, then swiftly leaping to escape the enlarging ring before evading once more.
To defeat Svarog, the key is to outlast the opponent. After dodging Svarog's attack, quickly approach and use Eikons and their Eikonic Abilities to damage the boss. Then, retreat and regroup for another day. Utilize Heatwave and Will o' the Wykes to absorb attacks and create opportunities for counterattacks. Aim for Svarog's head whenever possible to exploit its weak point.
Successfully defeating Svarog in the Ruin Reawakened Notorious Mark bounty hunt will reward players with 25000 XP, 300 Ability Points, 30000 Gil, and 60 Renown. Additionally, the winner will receive crafting materials such as one Orichalcum and one Amber, along with one Empty Shard and one Fallen Enigma.
