A New FaceMid's Favor
Clive and his companions, in Final Fantasy 16, often find themselves embarking on smaller main scenario quests at the Hideaway between significant story events. Although Clive does make a visit to the Hideaway upon his triumph over Hugo, the following main scenario quest proves to be lengthier than the typical return to this location.
Content: Players of Final Fantasy 16 may not find many novel activities in the "Bolts from the Blue" main scenario quest; however, it offers a momentary break from the intense action and serves as a foundation for upcoming story advancements. Here is an overview of what players can anticipate when they embark on "Bolts from the Blue". Caution is advised as this walkthrough contains spoilers.
A New Face
After the cutscenes conclude, players will have the freedom to once again explore the Hideaway. Hugo proved to be a formidable boss, so players may wish to take this opportunity to replenish any consumables that were used during the battle. Additionally, there is a new Notorious Mark available for those seeking an optional challenge.
Furthermore, as a reward for their victory over Hugo, players will acquire a fresh set of combat abilities. These Titan abilities are exceptionally potent, prompting players to consider using any available ability points to unlock or enhance them. It is crucial for players to understand that they can only have a maximum of three Eikons channeled at any given moment. This allocation can be adjusted through the Gear & Eikons tab in the menu. Once prepared, locate Otto and engage in conversation with him. This interaction will initiate a cutscene introducing a character by the name of Midadol Telamon, commonly referred to as Mid.
Mid's Favor
She approaches Clive and quickly leaves, requesting a favor. Following the cutscene, you should head to the storeroom and engage in conversation with her. Mid has a desire to construct a workshop, but requires assistance from Clive. Begin this request by seeking the guidance of Charon. Once that step is complete, proceed to the left and talk to Blackthorne. Once finished, utilize the elevator to descend to the pier and have a conversation with Bardolph. Unfortunately, he is too preoccupied to aid Mid, but suggests considering the carpenter at Martha's Rest as an alternative option.
With the new objective in mind, swiftly journey to Martha's Rest. If by chance players are engaged in the side quest known as "A Culinary Pilgrimage", now presents an opportune moment to advance it concurrently with the main storyline, considering that players are required to be in that vicinity regardless. Once prepared to progress the story, have a conversation with Martha. The carpenter, Bernard, can be found within the remains of Cressida, which lies to the northeast of Martha's Rest amidst the lush expanse of the Greensheaves.
Visit Jill
During their journey in Final Fantasy 16, players will stumble upon a Chronolith known as The Hand of Hyperion. Although it currently serves no purpose, it is advisable to take note of its location for future reference. To locate Bernard, head towards the red waypoint where he can be found near a bridge. Bernard requires assistance in clearing out the remnants of his family's old residence. This task involves eliminating various enemy groups, including a formidable dragon. Upon completing this mission, a short cutscene will ensue before returning to the Hideaway. It is then necessary to engage in a conversation with Mid to proceed.
After Mid's request is completed, head to the infirmary to check on Jill. Watch a short cutscene and then go talk to Gav at the Shelves. Another cutscene will unfold, and then speak to Vivian to advance the story and learn about an unexpected visitor. Return to the pier and speak with Byron to initiate another cutscene. Once the cutscene concludes, talk to Otto and then speak to Byron again to access the world map. When players journey to the Velkroy Desert, the next main scenario quest will commence.
Final Fantasy 16 is available now on PlayStation 5.
