In the Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC, players can unlock the Elite Knife, an infinite Bonus Weapon. Unlike other weapons, the Elite Knife does not require any repairs and is unbreakable. However, obtaining this valuable weapon for Ada requires completing a set of seven objectives. This guide is meant to assist RE4: Separate Ways fans in easily completing all the necessary quests and acquiring the infinite knife without any hassle.
How to Unlock the Elite Knife
Players can obtain the infinite knife (Elite) in Separate Ways by completing all seven Merchant Requests. This will unlock the bonus weapon in the Extras menu, and players can purchase it for 1,000 Challenge Points.
The Elite Knife is an indestructible weapon, so players won't need to worry about repairing it. However, they can still upgrade the weapon at the Merchant stops to unlock its Exclusive effect, Double Power. By fully upgrading the infinite blade, its damage will double, making it the most powerful melee weapon in the DLC. In the remake of Resident Evil 4, Leon was able to acquire a similar knife by defeating 16 clockwork castellans.
How to Equip the Infinite Knife
After completing all Requests in the game, players can access the Elite Knife through the Extras menu. To obtain the Elite Knife, they need to purchase it from the Bonus Weapons section and then restore it by interacting with a typewriter in the Storage section.
It is worth mentioning that using the Elite Knife in an S+ rank playthrough will not affect achievements. However, it is crucial to start a new save file for this run, rather than using NG+.
Elite Knife Stats
The Elite Knife is considered one of the top melee choices in the expansion due to its impressive base power of 0.55 and swift attack speed of 1.20. Interestingly, the indestructibility of this weapon does not hinder the possibility of upgrades, allowing players to maximize it to a formidable 2-power knife.
An advantage of Ada's infinite blade is its inherent unbreakable effect. This sets it apart from the Primal Knife, where players would need to invest an additional 260,000 Pesetas to achieve durability.
Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
