Peter Parker and Miles Morales utilize their spider powers to traverse the vast urban landscape of New York City in Spider-Man 2 with incredible swiftness, eliminating the need for special fast travel options. Additionally, players will come across slingshots strategically placed throughout the city which enhance their mobility, rings that provide an added boost when using the glider, and eventually, the ability to fast travel to their desired neighborhood once certain tasks have been accomplished.
By simply opening the map using the touchpad, Spider-Man 2 players can easily navigate through the various neighborhoods using the left stick. The NYC map showcases a range of distinct areas, including Little Odessa, Chinatown, and Midtown. Each segment of the map features its own District Progress bar, offering players rewards as they complete the assigned tasks within that particular region.
If players fully complete each district's progress bar, they will earn the Superior Trophy. Work your way to the Platinum by collecting the rest of the game's trophies.
How to Unlock Fast Travel and District Progress Rewards in Spider-Man 2
To unlock fast travel in Spider-Man 2, players must reach the second tick on the District Progress Bar. Achieving this milestone rewards players with two Rare Tech Parts, which are crucial for unlocking and crafting new suits for both Miles and Peter. Furthermore, the next reward grants access to fast travel specifically within that area. To utilize this feature, players need to hover over the desired location on the map and then press the Triangle button.
The third reward for completing activities in a district are two Hero Tokens, which are also used in the suit unlock menu.
Players can access a range of activities by hovering over specific areas on the map's left side. As the story unfolds, additional opportunities will unlock. These include completing FNSM Requests, locating Photo Ops spots, and gathering fragments of Marko's Memories.
Players who complete all activities within a specific region in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 for the PS5 will be rewarded with all three prizes, including the ability to fast travel.
