Team Composition | |||
In a turn-based game like Honkai: Star Rail, the importance of creating a well-balanced team composition cannot be overstated. The success or failure of battles often hinges on how effectively the characters in the team work together. Therefore, it is crucial for players to understand the abilities and roles of each character in order to maximize compatibility and increase their chances of victory.
Yukong plays a vital role in Honkai: Star Rail as a buffer character, making her an ideal addition to teams looking to enhance their DPS. Consider utilizing the following Yukong team composition in Honkai: Star Rail.
5 Yukong + Welt + Luocha + Silver Wolf
Upon its introduction, Silver Wolf swiftly became the catalyst for assembling a mono-Element team composition. Honkai: Star Rail initially featured only Welt as an Imaginary character, but he was soon accompanied by Yukong and Luocha.
4 Yukong + Luocha + Asta + Jing Yuan
Although some players may mistakenly believe that this team is lacking in DPS, underestimating Welt's potential for dealing damage would be a grave error. Furthermore, both Yukong and Luocha also excel when built for offense, meaning that this Yukong team composition is versatile, encompassing a buffer, a healer, a DPS, a debuffer, and a Silver Wolf mono-Element team that is fully prepared to tackle any boss.
When facing Yukong, it becomes crucial for players to time Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord ability in coordination with Yukong’s buff. This requires precision, but if executed accurately, the Lightning Lord can inflict immense damage, particularly if Yukong’s Crit buff is active. Instead of focusing on enhancing Jing Yuan’s regular attacks, players should prioritize buffing the Lightning Lord ability.
To enhance the coordination of Jing Yuan's follow-up attack, players can employ Asta to amplify his SPD, enabling him to maneuver with greater agility before the Lightning Lord executes its assault. By utilizing Dance! Dance! Dance! Light Cone, Asta can additionally advance Jing Yuan's action. In addition to the SPD boost, Asta's Talent also heightens the team's ATK.
3 Yukong + Welt + Luocha + Sushang
Slowed enemies are advantageous for both Dan Heng and Sushang. Dan Heng's Ultimate inflicts significantly greater damage on Slowed enemies, while Sushang boosts her SPD whenever there is an enemy with a weakness break, allowing her to move more frequently when the enemy has the SPD debuff.
Sushang can greatly benefit from using Yukong's Roaring Bowstrings. The Helm Master's buff only lasts for two turns when used by allies, but Sushang's extra turn ensures that she is the one who fully benefits from the buff. For example, players can use the sequence Skill - Ultimate - Skill. This way, both of Sushang's skills and ultimate are boosted by Yukong's powerful effect.
However, it is important for players to strategize their movements in order to maximize Yukong's stat bonus. For instance, if Sushang, Welt, and Luocha have their ultimates ready, players should activate Welt and Luocha's ultimates while the ATK buff is active. Afterwards, they can use Sushang's ability. Activating an ultimate does not count as a turn, making it the ideal way to make use of Yukong's limited buff.
2 Yukong + Luocha + Seele + Silver Wolf
Introducing another variation of the Silver Wolf team - the Quantum + Imaginary team. In this setup, Seele takes on the role of the main DPS, while Yukong and Luocha retain their positions as a buffer and healer, respectively.
To make this team effective, players should focus on inflicting Quantum weakness on the boss, as neither Yukong nor Luocha have consistent abilities to trigger a weakness break. However, this doesn't mean they lack usefulness. Yukong's Basic Attack possesses an additional Toughness-reducing effect, and her Ultimate delivers a decent attack that diminishes the enemy's Toughness by 90. On the other hand, Luocha's Ultimate is an area-of-effect hit that reduces the target's Toughness by 60. Despite being built for damage, Luocha still provides sufficient healing, so it is advisable for players to prioritize this aspect rather than solely maximizing his healing capabilities.
1 Yukong + Luocha + Sampo + Kafka
When Yukong becomes available, players can reserve the Helm Master for the Stellaron Hunter even though Kafka has not been released yet. In a DoT team, it is recommended for Yukong to move last, unlike other team compositions where players prefer the DPS to move after Yukong. This is because DoT damage is dynamic, meaning it is based on the current character's stats when the damage occurs. If Yukong moves right before the enemy, the DoT hit will occur while the team is under Yukong's ATK buff.
It is worth noting that Yukong's Crit buff may not be as crucial in a DoT team since Crit does not affect DoT damage.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
