A recent addition to the game in version 4.0 is the Icewind Suite, followed by the availability of the Experimental Field Generator in version 4.1.

Within the Experimental Field Generator, there is a unique variant known as the Prototype Cal. Breguet, which rewards players with the valuable Tourbillon Device upon defeat. As this item is necessary to Ascend certain characters, here are the strategies players can employ to successfully overcome the Experimental Field Generator in Genshin Impact.

Experimental Field Generator Location In Genshin Impact

The Experimental Field Generator can be found at the Fontaine Research Institute in the Kinetic Energy Engineering Region. It is situated northeast of the Court of Fontaine and northwest of the Marcotte Station. Players can conveniently reach it from both the Liffey Region and the Mary-Ann Memorial Park Statue of the Seven. Simply head east from the former or west from the latter.

To quickly access the enemy in the future, there is a Teleport Waypoint located north of the boss.

How To Beat Experimental Field Generator In Genshin Impact

In contrast to most bosses in Genshin Impact, the Experimental Field Generator does not have a specific method to disable it. Instead, the boss has both a normal and enhanced state, with a way to quickly end the enhanced state.

After a series of attacks in its normal state, the boss will teleport to the center of the arena and enter the Gravity Reduction Field state. During this state, the boss becomes enhanced and inflicts powerful Geo DMG instead of Physical damage. The boss has a Geo RES of 70%, making it highly resistant to Geo attacks, but only has a RES of 10% to other damage types, including Physical. As a result, it is not advised to use Geo attacks if one wishes to effectively combat this enemy.

Players can deactivate the enhanced state by striking the boss with Pneuma three times. Although this won't render the boss powerless, it will terminate the enhanced state, thereby facilitating easier attacks against the enemy.

Regrettably, the cooldown period for Pneuma attacks from characters is approximately 10 seconds, and this duration remains unaffected by CD-reset abilities like Sacrificial weapons in Genshin Impact. Consequently, players must either employ three characters with Pneuma or exercise patience until their character can unleash Pneuma DMG once more.

In the Gravity Reduction Field, characters are able to jump to greater heights, allowing them to evade certain attacks from the Experimental Field Generator. Moreover, players can earn Achievements in Genshin Impact while in this state.

Achievement: The Distance of the Moon - Strike the boss with 11 Plunging Attacks while the enhanced state is activated.

Challenge: Overcome the boss without succumbing to the force of Gravity Ripple. The Gravity Ripple ability is unleashed by the boss at the beginning of its enhanced state and lasts until the state concludes.

These accomplishments fall within the Challenger: Series VIII category and grant a bounty of five Primogems in Genshin Impact per achievement.
