Master the Art of Sliding in Outlast Trials

Players in The Outlast Trials are at a severe disadvantage against the hostile enemies they encounter during the therapy trials. Each map presents unique challenges that require players to navigate with caution. While players can obtain physical abilities such as sliding to evade the enemies, they are initially defenseless against the monster-like characters at the Murkoff Facility. Environmental advantages like health bottles and batteries provide some assistance, but players must take extra measures to strengthen their character's abilities. In this guide, we will cover how to effectively slide in The Outlast Trials.

How to Slide in The Outlast Trials

To evade enemies quickly in The Outlast Trials, sliding is a highly effective technique. When being pursued, players can escape their line of sight by hiding in a dark room or locker, allowing them to survive the trials while solving puzzles.

Players can obtain the Slide prescription from the pharmacy located in the Sleep Room to perform the sliding move. However, the pharmacy is only accessible once players reach Therapy Level 3, which is earned by completing trials and gaining XP. Trials are graded on a scale of F to A+, with F being a failed attempt, but players will still receive a small amount of XP even if they fail a mission.

Players can purchase Slide from Emily after reaching Level 3. Successfully finishing trials earns players tickets that can be used to buy prescriptions. Prescriptions cost one ticket each and there are two tiers available. However, Tier Two is only accessible after purchasing all of Tier One.

Slide is included in Tier One prescriptions and can be purchased immediately after speaking with Emily. Once Slide is acquired, players can use it with manual inputs by pressing the crouch button while running to slide across the ground. Additional prescriptions that enhance strength, speed, and stamina can be purchased with more tickets.
