In a campaign run of Baldur's Gate 3, players often encounter various situations. Sometimes, despite lacking proficiency or favorable attributes, disasters can strike. Surprisingly, there are a few encounters that present complexity without any need for skill checks.
For instance, when players intervene to save Findal from being executed by healing the Goblins in the Underground Passage, the task isn't as straightforward as it seems. Even after the battle subsides, players frequently find themselves struggling to rescue Findal.

Saving Findal
Kill the Goblins quickly after entering the Underground Passage.
Start by casting a healing spell on Findal. The initial step is crucial. As soon as players overhear the Goblins plotting to harm the defenseless halfling, they must swiftly engage the Goblins and their team. It is essential to disable the Guardian Statues first, as failure to do so may result in instant death for most characters at this point in the game.
Players encounter more difficulties in the following section. Once they have defeated the Goblins, they come across Findal, who is lying on the ground with only 1 HP remaining. Interacting with him only allows players to "speak" with him, as he is too weak to respond. If players are in Stealth mode, they can also attempt to pickpocket the severely injured man. However, the solution to saving Findal is not immediately apparent – players need to heal him with a spell. To do this, they must switch party members and bring someone who possesses a healing spell, regardless of its potency. Once Findal has been healed, players can interact with him and he will safely return to Druid Grove.
Baldur's Gate 3 is currently available in Early Access on PC, with the full release scheduled for August 3rd, 2023. The game will also be released on PlayStation 5 on September 6th, 2023. An Xbox Series X/S version is currently in development.
