On the left side of the screen, you will see a durability bar. It represents the fish's endurance. If the bar empties completely, the fish will escape. To prevent this, when the fish attempts to swim in a certain direction, you need to move the thumb stick in the opposite direction. Once the fish stops moving, press and hold the 'X' button to initiate the reeling action.

If the fish changes its direction, release the 'X' button and use the thumbstick instead. Failure to do so will result in faster depletion of the durability bar.

Successfully catching a fish requires having bait. It is advisable to ensure an ample supply of bait before starting a fishing session. Various types of fish can be caught, and there is even a chance for a fishing pond to appear in the mines. Therefore, it is recommended for players to carry bait at all times.

Fish can serve various purposes in cooking recipes and can also be consumed as is, although it doesn't provide a significant stamina boost. Additionally, fish can be sold in exchange for G. It is worth noting that valuable and uncommon fish have the potential to sell for a considerable amount of G, making fishing an attractive option for players in need of funds, provided they have the means to purchase bait.
