The Anti-Air Defense Skill

In AEW Fight Forever, players have various techniques at their disposal to counter and turn around attacks and wrestling moves. Apart from the counter and reversal buttons, there are also secret ways to reverse moves, such as intercepting opponents mid-air during a diving attack. Unlike the WWE 2K23 series, players can execute this move without needing to store a Special in the momentum bar.

To catch an opponent mid-air with the counter, players should first ensure that their chosen wrestlers possess the necessary skill. They can do this by pressing the Y button on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation, X on Switch, or by clicking the settings cogwheel located at the bottom left of the main menu screen.

Navigate to Game Records and choose Wrestler Info. Next, select the AEW wrestler. It is advisable to prioritize powerhouse wrestlers such as Paul Wight and Lance Archer as they are more likely to possess the necessary skill.

On Xbox, press RB. On PlayStation, press R1. On Switch, press R. Alternatively, use the mouse and keyboard to highlight Moves and Skills and then click to select it.

To access the Action Skills section, simply press the X button on Xbox, the Square button on PlayStation, the Y button on Switch, or click on the Skill List option at the bottom of the screen using a keyboard and mouse. Once there, highlight and select the Action Skills section located in the middle row.

Ensure that the AEW superstar has a checkmark next to Anti-Air Defense.

This skill will allow players to catch diving attacks.

The player's wrestlers can effectively counter diving opponents both inside and outside the ring with the Anti-Air Defense skill. However, the success rate is higher when the momentum bar is not too low. When the momentum bar is blue or in the danger zone, the chances of executing a successful air reversal decreases. Applicable wrestlers can perform an air reversal by pressing A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, B on Switch, or K on a keyboard against diving opponents from turnbuckles and attacks from ladders. The following wrestlers possess the Anti-Air Defense skill:

Sting

Paul Wight

Lance Archer

Powerhouse Hobbs

Brian Cage

Kris Statlander
