Married at First Sight's Jamie Otis Expecting Twins: Bursting with Joy

Jamie Otis and her husband Doug Hehner, from Married at First Sight, have some exciting news to share - they are expecting their third and fourth babies!

Last month, the couple announced that baby number three was on the way. However, Otis, who is 37 years old, recently shared that she is actually pregnant with twins.

"I've always dreamed of being a mom to twins," she shared with People on March 4. "My younger sister and brother are twins, but my mom said the twin gene would skip me and go to my own kids. So, it was a big surprise when I found out I was having twins!"

Otis mentioned that she and Hehner, who is 40 years old, are feeling a mix of emotions - from extreme excitement to a little bit of fear - about welcoming two more babies.

Otis and Hehner also uploaded a vlog on Monday, sharing the moment they found out they are having twins.

Otis went for an ultrasound appointment without her husband. During the ultrasound, the technician mentioned that there might be two babies. Otis expressed her disbelief and fear in the video clip. She admitted, "I'm terrified that something bad will happen. Having twins has always been a dream of mine."

Otis and Hehner met just before they got married on the first season of Married at First Sight. The couple has been honest about their struggles with fertility since they got married. Even though they already have two children, Henley, who is 6 years old, and Hendrix, who is 3 years old, Otis and Hehner have been open about wanting to have a third child.

Otis has gone through three miscarriages over the years. The first one happened in July 2016, just a little over a year before Henley was born in August 2017. Her second miscarriage occurred in September 2018. Hendrix was born more than a year later in May 2020.

After trying for over three years, Otis announced on February 20 that she and Hehner are expecting a baby.

She shared the exciting news on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the prayers and faith in God. Despite facing challenges such as secondary infertility, a blocked fallopian tube, MTHFR, hypothyroidism, 'low-normal' AMH, and advanced maternal age, she believes in miracles.

She continued, “THANK YOU GOD FOR THE BIGGEST BLESSING WE’VE HAD SINCE OUR LAST TWO EARTHLY BABIES!.”

Otis ended her Instagram caption with words of wisdom to women who are hoping to become mothers.

"I can't believe we were able to conceive naturally," she said, still feeling a bit shocked. "If you're struggling with infertility or secondary infertility, my heart truly goes out to you. Getting that news can be devastating, but please don't give up hope."
