Jamie Otis was surprised when she found out the gender of one of her twins while filming a reveal video.

Otis, who is 37 years old, and her husband, Doug Hehner, announced in a YouTube video on Monday, April 8, that they are expecting a baby boy. They used a game of beach tic tac toe to reveal the news, showing three blue circles with the help of their children, Hendrix Douglas, 3, and Henley Grace, 6.

The couple blasted blue confetti in the air to reveal the sex of their other twin. They will need to wait for an ultrasound or blood test to find out.

In an Instagram post, Otis expressed his genuine shock at the result. He admitted to feeling surprised, even though he knew it was a 50/50 chance. Otis had expected a different outcome.

"I really enjoy surprises, and this was definitely one of the best surprises I've ever had."

Otis and Hehner, who is 40 years old, shared the exciting news of expecting twins in a vlog that was posted on March 4th. Fans were able to join in on the journey as Otis went for an ultrasound, during which the technician hinted that there might be two babies.

Otis has openly shared about the journey of pregnancy with his partner, highlighting the importance of making discussions about miscarriages more acceptable while talking to Us.

In 2019, the host of the "Hot Marriage, Cool Parents" podcast expressed, "Many individuals have had to grieve in solitude because talking about it is considered taboo. Why is it that in our society, we are discouraged from sharing news about our pregnancies before it is deemed 'safe'? Are we expected to face this journey alone? To go to work and keep it to yourself, walking around after experiencing such a loss?"
