The Master of Magnetism is receiving a new Funko Pop! figure. Funko (through Entertainment Earth) has unveiled a Pop! Comic Cover featuring Magneto. This figure replicates the iconic gatefold cover of X-Men #1 from 1991, illustrated by Jim Lee. The Funko Pop! is scheduled for release in January and stands at a height of approximately 3 3/4 inches. Magneto is depicted wearing his classic red and purple costume from the comics, striking the same pose as on the cover. The Pop! comes in a non-opening hard protector case, measuring about 11 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches long. Inside the case, Lee's rendition of Magneto on the cover is displayed.
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Magneto made his debut in X-Men #1 in 1963. While traditionally portrayed as a villain, there have been numerous stories where he and the X-Men put aside their differences and work together. In animated adaptations, Magneto has been voiced by David Hemblen in X-Men: The Animated Series, Christopher Judge in X-Men: Evolution, and Tom Kane in Wolverine and the X-Men.
The 90s Animated Version of Magneto Will Return in 'X-Men '97'
On the live action front, the first X-Men movie featured Magneto as the main antagonist, portrayed by Ian McKellen. McKellen went on to reprise the role in X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. In 2011's X-Men: First Class, Michael Fassbender portrayed a younger version of Magneto, originally played by McKellen.

Disney+'s upcoming animated series X-Men '97, a continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series, will introduce Magneto as one of its main characters. Stepping up to fill the shoes of Charles Xavier, Magneto takes on a significant role. In the final episode of X-Men: The Animated Series, Xavier's deteriorating health leads him to depart Earth with Lilandra for medical treatment. Alongside Magneto, the revival will reunite Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Beast, and Cyclops. Together, the X-Men will once again face off against their formidable adversary, Mister Sinister.
Recently, Patrick Stewart made a comeback as Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on the big screen. His portrayal of the character in the film closely resembled the version from the popular X-Men: The Animated Series. As a nod to the animated show, an adapted version of its theme was even played when Xavier was introduced in the movie. In the highly anticipated Deadpool 3, Hugh Jackman will once again take on the role of Wolverine and don a yellow costume reminiscent of the character's appearance in the animated series.
