The public response to Diaz's post, which included pictures and videos showcasing the extensive damage to her instrument, was overwhelming. The post garnered over 1.5 million views and received immense support from users who demanded that the airline take responsibility and make things right.

Diaz shared that her D28 Martin guitar was a gift from her father when she moved out of the house at 18 years old. Over the past two decades, the instrument has been by her side, from Berklee College of Music to Los Angeles and Nashville. It even shared the stage with Harry Styles during his successful Love on Tour, as well as in songwriting sessions and when she recorded her duet with Musgraves, “Don’t Do Me Good.”

Diaz told Us that she can't remember doing anything without her guitar.

The singer-songwriter received a lot of support from the internet and friends, including Musgraves, who is a close friend. Unfortunately, it seems like the guitar is too damaged to be fixed. Despite this setback, Diaz pushed through and found the first night of the tour in Dublin to be a cathartic experience.
