Paris Saint-Germain is nearing a deal to appoint Luis Enrique as their new head coach. The reigning French champions are poised to replace their current manager, Christophe Galtier, with the Spanish coach. Luis Enrique was previously considered for the managerial positions at Chelsea and Tottenham earlier in the summer.
Luis Enrique has been out of work since leaving Spain in December after they were knocked out of the World Cup by Morocco at the round-of-16 stage in Qatar.

PSG head coach Christophe Galtier is set to be sacked after just a year in charge
At 53 years old, he achieved the treble with Barcelona in 2015, marking his last club job. Despite the fact that the 56-year-old led PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season, the former boss of Roma and Celta Viga appears to be on track to replace Galtier.
PSG's performance took a downward turn following the conclusion of the World Cup, experiencing 10 losses out of 28 matches. They faced elimination from the Champions League in the last 16 at the hands of Bayern Munich, and also suffered a defeat in the last 16 of the French Cup against their rivals, Marseille.
Galtier's contract at PSG will expire in a year, as he was appointed in July 2022.
On Friday, Galtier received a summons to appear in court in December. The charges against him are related to psychological harassment and discrimination, in connection with an investigation into allegations of racism at his previous team, Nice.
