The Los Angeles Chargers got creative with their announcement of the 2024-2025 NFL schedule.

On Wednesday, May 15, the team's social media account shared a video that was over three minutes long. They used the popular video game "The Sims" as inspiration for the announcement. In the video, Sims characters were created to represent key moments and players for each game on the schedule. No NFL team was left out as the Chargers playfully revealed their matchups and dates.

The Chargers will be playing against the Kansas City Chiefs during Week 4 on September 29, which is one of the most anticipated matchups.

In a fun animated segment, Travis and Jason Kelce were seen recording their “New Heights” podcast. They had a thought bubble with a squirrel inside. Taylor Swift, who appeared to be a blonde woman with bangs, knocked on the window. Travis then went outside to meet her and they boarded a private plane. The video even included Travis' famous "squirle" tweet from 2011.

The Chargers are scheduled to face the Chiefs twice this season, leading to a second mention of the team's notable events. The video revealed that the second Chargers vs. Chiefs game will take place in Week 14 on December 8. It highlighted the Chiefsaholic's recent legal troubles, where a dedicated fan known as Xaviar Michael Bubudar, who often dressed as a wolf for games, was convicted of multiple bank robberies earlier this year. In April, he was ordered to pay $10.8 million to a bank teller he had assaulted with a gun.

One of the most relevant references to the Chiefs was made when a player in a No. 7 Chiefs jersey was seen putting a pie in an oven. It seemed to be a clear nod to Harrison Butker and his recent graduation speech controversy.

Butker, a kicker for the Chiefs and ranked No. 7 on the team, made headlines recently for his comments about his wife, Isabelle, who he referred to as a "homemaker." He also mentioned Taylor Swift's lyrics about familiarity breeding contempt.

Speaking at Benedictine College in Kansas on May 11, Butker congratulated the women graduates for their achievements. He emphasized the importance of being proud of their accomplishments and directly addressed the women, acknowledging the lies that have been told to them.

He continued by asking the audience how many of them were thinking about their future career promotions and titles as they prepared to graduate. He suggested that while some may go on to have successful careers, he believed that most were actually more excited about starting a family and having children.
