Lindsay Lohan is embracing her post-baby body — and channeling Mean Girls for her new parenting outlook — after welcoming son Luai.
Lohan, 37, took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 2, to express her pride in her body's accomplishments during pregnancy and recovery. Alongside a photo of her post-birth belly, she stated, "I am incredibly proud of what my body has achieved during this pregnancy and now during the recovery process. Becoming a mother has brought me the utmost joy!" Sharing a humorous touch, Lohan revealed that her go-to outfit of late has been postpartum underwear, playfully adding, "I'm not just a regular mom, I'm a postpartum mom."
Lohan's fans immediately noticed her reference to Mean Girls, where she quoted Regina George's mom's famous line, "I'm not a regular mom, I'm a cool mom." (Lohan played Cady Heron in the 2004 movie).
Jonathan Bennett, who played Lohan's romantic interest Aaron Samuels in the romantic comedy, responded in the comment section, saying, "You look stunning as ever."
Lohan's costar from Parent Trap, Lisa Ann Walter (who portrayed Chessy in the 1998 comedy), expressed her affection for the new mother in the comments section, saying, "You appear to be in great shape and looking stunning! Awwwww, that little boy has made you even more beautiful ❤️."
On July 17, we received confirmation that Lohan has given birth to a lovely, healthy son named Luai. Her representative informed Us, "The family is overwhelmed with love."
Lohan, who tied the knot with Bader Shammas in April 2022, revealed her pregnancy in March. Sharing a photo on Instagram of a onesie that read "Coming soon," she expressed her joy and gratitude, captioning it, "We are blessed and thrilled!"
Later, in an interview with Us, Lohan enthusiastically shared, "We cannot contain our excitement for the impending arrival of our new family member. We eagerly await this next phase of our lives!"
The actress from "Falling for Christmas" has always desired to be both a mother and a wife, according to an exclusive source who spoke with Us in March. The source emphasized Lohan's goal of achieving a balance between her career and her personal life, stating that she aspires to be a dedicated family-oriented mother rather than solely a career-focused mom. Although she intends to prioritize raising her baby at home, she plans to carry on with her work commitments.
According to another source, Lohan's aspiration to continue acting while being a parent resulted in her husband joining her professional team. In March, the insider revealed, "Bader is currently collaborating with her and assisting in the management alongside [her mother] Dina Lohan. He has played a significant role in Lindsay's development and she truly places her trust in him."
