Lindsay Lohan is quite familiar with being in the limelight. She began her career as a child model and gained significant recognition for her role as twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in the 1998 film "The Parent Trap" alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. This movie's success led to Lohan securing a three-film contract with Disney.
In 2004, Lohan reminisced about her experience filming Parent Trap during an interview with Rolling Stone. She revealed that she took a break from school for eight months for the film, much to the surprise of her friends upon her return. When the movie was released, her friends realized that she was the actress in Parent Trap. Lohan nonchalantly mentioned that she also worked on the film during their family vacation.
Although Lohan achieved further success in Hollywood with the release of Mean Girls in 2004, her personal issues began to overshadow her career. From 2007 to 2012, the songstress behind "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" found herself regularly appearing in court due to her struggles with substance abuse.
"I was arrested for my first DUI at the age of 20, and during that incident, drugs were discovered on me," Lohan disclosed to Piers Morgan in 2013. "Ever since then, the media constantly hounded me. That was the first and only time I experimented with drugs. I was foolish enough to be at a club in the wrong company, where I succumbed to cocaine and made the reckless decision to drive. It was an incredibly thoughtless act."
During this period of introspection, Lohan candidly expressed that she had no remorse for her tumultuous history.
"I truly believe that everything occurs with purpose," she stated in 2013. "I lead a life free of regrets. Although there are certain actions I have taken and mistakes I have made that I would alter given the chance, I do not feel any remorse for them because they have served as valuable lessons."
Following a hiatus from the acting industry, Lohan redirected her attention towards establishing nightclubs in foreign countries. In December 2019, the renowned star of "Herbie: Fully Loaded" disclosed her intentions for a comeback in Hollywood.
“I am currently managing my sister, but my main priority is to concentrate on myself and explore all the opportunities in my life. I have plans to return to America and resume my filming career, and I am actually working on a new project soon in this new year,” she shared with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper during CNN’s New Year’s Eve special. “I am determined to regain the life I have tirelessly worked for and share it with my loved ones and all of you.”

Lohan's career began as a child model before landing a notable role as twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in the 1998 film The Parent Trap alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. The movie's success led to Lohan securing a three-film contract with Disney.
"When I was 10 years old, I acted in The Parent Trap," Lohan reminisced in a 2004 interview with Rolling Stone. "I took a break from school for eight months. When I returned, my friends were curious about where I had been. I told them that my family and I had gone on a long vacation. Then the movie was released, and my friends were taken aback, saying, 'Wait a minute, Lindsay? That's you in The Parent Trap!' And I replied, 'Oh, right. I also worked on that movie during our absence.'"
Lohan's rise to fame in Hollywood continued with the release of Mean Girls in 2004, but her personal problems began to overshadow her career. From 2007 to 2012, the songstress behind "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" found herself in court on more than 20 occasions due to her struggles with substance abuse.
"I was arrested for my first DUI at the age of 20, and drugs were found on me," Lohan shared with Piers Morgan in 2013. "After that, the media was constantly hounding me. It was the first time I had ever taken drugs; I was at a club with the wrong people and ended up taking cocaine before getting behind the wheel. It was such a foolish decision."
Reflecting on her darkest moments, Lohan acknowledged in 2013 that she had no regrets about her tumultuous past. "I firmly believe in the notion that everything happens for a purpose," she expressed.
