Lala Kent has expressed a strong desire to expand her family in recent years. She became a mother for the first time in March 2021 when she welcomed her daughter Ocean with her then-fiancé, Randall Emmett. Kent, who got engaged to the director in 2019, openly shared the joys and challenges she experienced during her pregnancy.
Before her daughter's arrival, the Utah native shared the complications she experienced, starting at six weeks with episodes of bleeding.
"In the following three weeks, I would have sporadic episodes of bleeding, and each time, I would be filled with anxiety as I reached out to my OB," Kent wrote on Instagram in February 2021. "While bleeding during pregnancy is not normal, it is common. In my case, the bleeding was due to a clot. I was advised to be on bed rest until it resolved. At the next appointment, there was some growth, albeit not much. After a few weeks, my doctors determined that this was a placenta issue, not a problem with the baby. While we never want any complications, this revelation brought some relief."
Kent and Emmett faced rumors of a split after she removed all evidence of him from her social media. In November 2021, it was confirmed that they had indeed broken up.
Following the end of her engagement, Kent briefly dated Don Lopez before disclosing her decision to use a sperm donor for expanding her family. In a November 2022 episode of Dear Media's "Scheananigans" podcast, she expressed her determination to solely pursue this route. Kent explained her aversion to involving another person and the high likelihood of potential complications, especially considering their location. The difficulties she had experienced in her life had left her deeply affected, leading her to make this choice.

Everything Lala Kent Has Said About Having Another Baby After Welcoming Daughter Ocean: 'I Don’t Want Another Person Involved'
Lala Kent has expressed her desire to have a larger family multiple times in the past.
The reality TV personality, known for her appearance on Vanderpump Rules, became a mother for the first time when she gave birth to her daughter Ocean in March 2021. Kent, who got engaged to Randall Emmett, the director, in 2019, openly shared the highs and lows of her pregnancy journey.
Ahead of her daughter's arrival, the Utah native shared the details of the complications she experienced, which began with bleeding at six weeks.
In a February 2021 Instagram post, Kent expressed her concerns about the bleeding, stating, "For the next three weeks, I would continue to randomly bleed and each time, I would call my OB and be extremely worried." She acknowledged that while bleeding during pregnancy is not normal, it is common. In her case, it was attributed to a clot, leading her doctors to prescribe bed rest until it resolved.
During her subsequent appointment, there was some growth noted, albeit minimal. After a few more weeks, her doctors determined that the issue was related to her placenta rather than the baby. Kent found this revelation to be a relief, although she hoped for a problem-free pregnancy.
After giving birth to their child Ocean, Kent and Emmett sparked rumors of a breakup when she erased all traces of him from her social media. In November 2021, it was confirmed that they had indeed ended their relationship.
Following her split, Kent briefly dated Don Lopez and subsequently revealed her plans to expand her family through the use of a sperm donor. During an episode of Dear Media's "Scheananigans" podcast in November 2022, she stated, "I have decided to go with a sperm donor, without a doubt. I am not interested in pursuing any other method. I don't want any additional complications or involvement from another person." Kent expressed her reservations about the likelihood of success, particularly given their current location, stating, "There is a significant risk of it not working out, especially where we live. I am not willing to take that chance. I have been deeply affected by the difficulties I have experienced in my life."

The Bravo personality playfully mentioned her interest in using donor sperm as she discussed her desire to have more children.
During a conversation with Us, Kent jokingly recounted an encounter with a man brought over by her "gusband," her gay best friend. She openly admitted to approaching him about the possibility of purchasing his sperm in the future. Kent described him as attractive and made it clear that she had no interest in a co-parenting arrangement. She relayed that she would ask him to sign legal documents and promptly leave after making his contribution. Surprisingly, he offered to donate his sperm for free, which delighted her. Kent emphasized that she would involve lawyers to handle any necessary agreements before moving forward.
She added: “The short answer to your question is yes, I would love more kids. Don't want more baby daddies, but I do want more kids.”
