Maren Morris and Kyle Richards have developed a bond as they navigate their respective troubled marriages under the scrutiny of the public eye.
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Wednesday, November 15, Morris, 33, opened up about her communication with Richards. "I've been texting with Kyle," she shared. "I truly empathize with her. I can't even fathom being in a relationship for that long. She is undoubtedly going through a challenging time, and the whole world is witnessing it. But it is crucial to remember that she is a human being going through a difficult ordeal."
Morris mentioned Richards' recent separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, whom she had been married to for 27 years. We verified their split in July, however, both Richards, aged 54, and Umansky, aged 53, released a joint statement clarifying that they had no intentions of getting a divorce.
On Instagram, they shared the challenges they had faced throughout the year, emphasizing that no one was to blame for their situation.

News broke of Richards' breakup while fans speculated about the nature of her friendship with Morgan Wade, a country singer. Both Richards and Wade, who is 28 years old, promptly dismissed rumors of any romantic involvement between them. During a Wednesday episode of WWHL, host Andy Cohen inquired if Morris was familiar with Wade, as they are both part of the same industry.
“I do, yeah, I know Morgan. She’s great,” Morris replied.
Morris’ sympathy for Richards’ current situation comes amid her own split from husband Ryan Hurd after five years of marriage.
Morris officially filed for divorce from Hurd on October 2, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for their separation. Court documents have revealed that the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place. The pair initially met in 2014 while collaborating on music and got married in March 2018. They share a son named Hayes, who was born in March 2020.
Although the couple has not openly discussed their separation in depth, a source shared exclusively with Us last month that Hurd was taken by surprise when Morris initiated the divorce proceedings. The source revealed that the decision appeared to be unexpected and sudden.
Morris and Hurd, according to the insider, are "complete opposites," possibly leading to challenging dynamics within their relationship.
Morris was seen without her wedding ring on several occasions before her divorce became widely known. However, she and Hurd got back together on Halloween to take their son Hayes trick or treating. Morris had previously shared a mysterious post on social media, hinting at her thoughts after the separation.
“It will be okay. It will simply be, and when it is, you will confront what is needed,” a quote shared on her Instagram Story stated. Later, she uploaded a series of Instagram photos with a caption that said, "Welcome to The End where you might come and lose some friends..."
