Kyle Richards is currently facing a tough time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to her separation from Mauricio Umansky. However, compared to her past experiences on the show, this is nothing. In an exclusive interview at BravoCon on November 4, Kyle, who is now 54 years old, shared that having conflicts with her sisters, Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton, while being filmed has been extremely difficult. She reflected on how challenging it was for her to have her personal life exposed to the cameras and shared with the world in the past. However, now that she has been on the show for 13 years, it has become easier for her. Despite this, she acknowledges that she is currently going through something very different with her husband.
Kyle and Mauricio's rocky marriage after twenty years was confirmed by Us in July. Mauricio, who has three daughters with Kyle and is also a stepfather to her eldest daughter from a previous relationship, announced in September that they are currently separated but still living together. The struggles in their relationship are being showcased on season 13 of RHOBH.
During a three-day convention in Las Vegas, Kyle expressed how challenging it is for them to be in the spotlight during this time. She mentioned that her experiences dealing with fights with her sisters have somewhat prepared her for the current situation, but it is still overwhelming. Kyle also expressed frustration with people who don't know them weighing in on their relationship and offering unsolicited advice. She emphasized that this is not the fairy tale ending she had envisioned and urged others to consider their words before speaking to her.
Amidst Kyle and Mauricio's efforts to navigate their relationship, there continues to be swirling rumors regarding what caused their troubles and the current state of their relationship.
Regarding the rumors, Kyle expressed her indifference, stating, "We no longer concern ourselves with these rumors. We simply brush them off." She further shared, "While I do receive a lot of supportive messages from people, I also encounter those who question my decision. But it's important to understand that this wasn't a sudden act of boredom on my part." Consequently, it becomes difficult for her when people claim, "You've shattered our dreams. We have been loyal followers all these years, only to realize that true love doesn't exist."

The reality TV star stated that her main concern is her family, but now she is also burdened with thinking about saddened strangers. She acknowledges and appreciates their care, but finds it difficult to handle.
Initially, Kyle and Mauricio were handling their situation amicably, but tensions arose during his participation in Dancing With the Stars. Mauricio, who has been eliminated from the competition, was seen holding hands with his professional partner, Emma Slater. Although both Mauricio and Emma, aged 34, denied any wrongdoing, Kyle was still deeply affected.
