Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, stars of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', have yet to hire divorce lawyers amidst their separation Stay updated on their relationship status

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have refrained from making significant choices amidst their ongoing separation, as per an exclusive source. "Both Kyle and Mauricio have not engaged legal representation, and neither of them have initiated a formal filing," the source reveals. "Despite their separation, their primary focus is to maintain a sense of normalcy in their lives for the sake of their children."

The couple, who married in 1996, have three daughters together - Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Umansky, 53, is also the stepfather to Richards' daughter Farrah, 35, from her previous marriage with Guraish Aldjufrie.

According to an insider, if and when they decide to file for divorce, they will not harbor bitterness or seek revenge against each other. While there is tension between them, they both want to move forward without any ill will. They are not interested in a lengthy and vengeful divorce.

Richards, 54, and Umansky confirmed in July that they had separated after being married for 27 years. However, they clarified that they have not yet initiated any formal procedures to legally end their marriage.

Richards assured WWHL viewers that despite recent drama and questions surrounding Umansky's relationship status, things between them remain "still amicable." She even described their marriage as a "success."

Last month, Umansky and his Dancing With the Stars partner Emma Slater were photographed holding hands after dining together, sparking romantic rumors. However, they swiftly dismissed any speculation about their relationship.

"To clarify, let me explain that after the rehearsal, we decided to visit a restaurant to enjoy some sushi," Umansky revealed in an Instagram Story video on October 26. "This week has been quite intense and emotionally charged. While having dinner, we discussed the events of the week, and after we finished, we continued our conversation while walking towards the cars. I reached out and held Emma's hand, to which she reciprocated. However, it is important to note that we are not dating."

According to another insider, Umansky and Slater, both 34, have been found to have a "strongly flirtatious bond and appear excessively close," despite their previous denial. Richards, on the other hand, openly expressed her emotional distress caused by the hand-holding pictures during her appearance on WWHL on October 25.

The Bravo star, however, exclusively told us that her past conflicts with sisters Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards have equipped her for the drama she is currently facing with Umansky.

"It's quite a challenge for all of us to be in the spotlight at this time. So, I suppose those fights with my sisters did help me deal with what I've been through, but it's still unbelievable," she shared with us on Saturday, November 4. "I have countless people who don't know us offering their opinions on our relationship and telling me things like, 'Don't do this, you'll regret it.' I mean, do you think I chose this? Do you think it's what I dreamed of? Just consider what you're saying to me."
