Kim Kardashian shared her excitement about her visit to the White House by posting a selfie with her famous pout on Instagram. She mentioned the "second chances event" and thanked the Vice President for the opportunity.

The Kardashian star struck a peace sign while posing for a photo on the lawn outside the iconic Washington, D.C. location. She also puckered her lips, showing her fans a peek at the president's workplace.

She wore a black blazer with her long brown hair cascading gently around her face. Completing the ensemble with a touch of golden eyeshadow and a nude lip.

A few hours ago, Kardashian posted a photo of the President of the United States' seal from the Oval Office, currently held by Joe Biden. She also shared a closer look at the White House and its beautiful surrounding greenery.

Kardashian was at the White House to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris, who was hosting a meeting on criminal justice reform in the Roosevelt Room. The discussion included White House public engagement director Steve Benjamin and some recently pardoned former inmates.

Harris began the meeting by expressing gratitude to Kim for her advocacy and for utilizing her platform to highlight the significance of discussing and supporting second chances.

Kim Kardashian visited 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in 2018 during President Donald Trump's term to talk about prison reform, sentencing, and ask for clemency for a first-time drug offender. Later, Trump pardoned Alice Marie Johnson, and Kim has been working to assist others in similar circumstances.

During this week’s meeting, Kardashian talked about Biden’s decision on Wednesday, April 25, to grant clemency to 16 inmates. He pardoned 11 of them and reduced the sentences of the other five.

“I feel really honored to be here today to listen to your stories. It’s so important to share and amplify them because there are many others in similar situations who could benefit from the inspiration,” Kardashian said, as reported by USA Today. She was addressing the four former inmates present at the discussion. “I’m here to support and spread the message.”

The founder of Skims looked back on her work advocating for those who were wrongly imprisoned. She mentioned that her first clemency meeting in the same room years ago was a turning point that inspired her journey.

Reflecting on that time, she admitted that she didn't have much knowledge but felt motivated to attend law school and expand her expertise to make a difference. In May 2019, Kardashian shared that she was preparing for the bar exam. By December 2021, she proudly announced passing the "baby bar" exam, although she is still working towards passing the official test to become a licensed lawyer.

Kardashian seemed happy during her visit to the White House, even though she was recently mentioned in Taylor Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Swift, who is 34 years old, surprised fans with her song "thanK you aIMee," which some believe is about Kardashian because the capital letters spell out "Kim."

In the song, Taylor Swift refers to her past conflict with Kim Kardashian, which started in 2009 when Kardashian's former husband, Kanye West, interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs. (Kardashian and West, 46, ended their marriage in 2021.)

In his 2016 song "Famous," West suggested that the incident at the awards show actually helped Swift become even more famous. Swift disputed that she had approved West's lyrics about her, and Kardashian supported the rapper by releasing a phone conversation between them without Swift's consent.

The feud appeared to settle down over time, but Swift brought it back to life with her TTPD album and lyrics aimed at Kardashian.

In one of her songs, Swift sings about her hometown, possibly referencing Los Angeles, where she describes a bronze spray-tanned statue of Kardashian. The lyrics include a mention of a plaque beneath the statue that suggests a threat to push Swift down the stairs at their school.

Swift also referred to Kardashian, or Aimee, as a bully who was throwing punches while she was building something.

Kim was not pleased about it, but she didn't want to make the situation worse, according to a source who spoke exclusively to We. The insider revealed that Kardashian was unaware that she would be involved in this story and was disappointed that Taylor still holds resentment towards her.

Kardashian hasn’t commented on the song publicly, but she told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday, April 22, that “life is good.”

Editor's P/S:

Kim Kardashian's advocacy for criminal justice reform continues to inspire and raise awareness about the importance of second chances. Her meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris highlights the significant role celebrities can play in shaping public discourse and advocating for social change. Kardashian's personal journey from advocating for individual clemency to pursuing a law degree demonstrates her commitment to making a lasting impact on the justice system.

The article also touches upon the ongoing feud between Kardashian and Taylor Swift, which has been reignited by Swift's new album. While it is unfortunate that personal conflicts can overshadow important discussions, it is crucial to separate the two and focus on the substance of Kardashian's advocacy work. Her efforts to amplify the voices of formerly incarcerated individuals and promote fair sentencing practices deserve recognition and support, regardless of any personal controversies.
