Kim Kardashian's Epic Prank on Kris Jenner with a Disney VP: The Ultimate Bachelorette Trick

During a recent episode of The Kardashians, available for streaming since Thursday, July 13, Kim Kardashian amused her mother Kris Jenner by pranking her with fake plans to appear on ABC's The Bachelorette.

I have received some highly significant news. A representative from Disney, named Rob Mills, reached out to me. They expressed their desire to have a direct conversation with me, and after careful consideration, I decided to proceed. I am going to participate in The Bachelorette. It is worth noting that the show will take place in Malibu, which is conveniently close. I thoroughly evaluated the situation and concluded that it would be an incredibly enjoyable experience.

Kris, who is 67 years old, was not enthused by the news that Kim had made a business decision without consulting her. In an effort to gather more information about the opportunity, Kris reached out to the Executive Vice President of Unscripted Entertainment at Walt Disney.

"I need some time to process this because I never imagined Kim venturing into this particular field. She has four kids and a hectic life," expressed Kris, referring to Kim's daughters North (10) and Chicago (5), as well as her sons Saint (7) and Psalm (4) with her ex-husband Kanye West. "I watch and adore the show, but did I want my daughter to be a part of it? Absolutely not."

The Disney executive, who was aware of the prank, assured Kris about the potential job, stating that they are currently finalizing the scheduling and are nearly 90% complete. Regarding Kim, the budget is open for negotiation and they would require collaboration with Kris on that aspect.

Ultimately, the KKW Beauty founder informed Kris that she had been playing a joke on her. Prior to Kim disclosing the truth, Khloé Kardashian shared her thoughts on her older sister's desire to find "The One" on a reality show.

"Kim, it's definitely not a good idea for you to be on The Bachelorette. Firstly, you rarely drink, so you wouldn't know how to handle being drunk. They surely won't allow you to have your glam team with you, I can assure you that," expressed Khloé, 39, in a personal interview. "And the thought of you making out with random individuals all day? It sounds repulsive."

In the end, Kris and Khloé found the prank amusing. Earlier during the season, Kim openly discussed her desire to meet someone new following her highly publicized divorce from Kanye, 46.

"I simply want to enjoy a little bit of secrecy. There's no harm in having the desire to be sneaky," she revealed during a June episode of the Hulu series. "Dating has become challenging because what do those initial dates actually entail? They happen in private spaces since we can't go out. It's a bit awkward. I just don't want to commit to one person. This is my year."

Since filing for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 after six years of marriage, Kim has provided glimpses into her personal life. The former couple's divorce was formally concluded almost two years later, in November 2022, following a lengthy legal process.

According to a recent source, Kim is currently taking things at a slower pace with an unidentified man. (It's worth noting that Kim was previously romantically linked to Pete Davidson, but their relationship ended in August 2022 after less than a year together.)

"The truth is, Kim isn't officially dating anyone at the moment, but there is someone she finds intriguing," revealed an insider in May. "As of now, their interactions have been subtly flirtatious, but they haven't actually gone out on a date yet. Kim isn't ready to publicly go on dates with anyone because she doesn't want to make a big fuss about it. She understands that once she's seen on a date, things tend to get blown out of proportion quickly. However, there is someone special who has captured her attention, and she's excited for the potential future of their connection."
