American Horror Story: Delicate is taking no prisoners — and Olivia Wilde is its latest target.

In a recent episode of the FX series that aired on September 27, Kim Kardashian's character Siobhan gave her publicist advice to Anna, played by Emma Roberts, after she fainted at an awards show.

Siobhan suggested a strategy, known as the "Wilde card," inspired by Olivia Wilde's press tour for Don't Worry Darling. The plan involved not discussing the incident and waiting for it to be forgotten. Additionally, she advised subtly manipulating those who inquire, making them believe they are at fault, attributing it to underlying sexism.

Released in September 2022, Don't Worry Darling, directed by Wilde, 39, initially gained attention for its enigmatic storyline. However, there was additional buzz surrounding the offscreen controversy. Prior to the film's premiere, reports emerged suggesting that lead actress Florence Pugh had clashed with Wilde, 39, due to her relationship with male lead Harry Styles. (Wilde and Styles, 29, had dated from January 2021 to November 2022.)

Initially, Pugh, 27, had decided against participating in press events at the 2022 Venice Film Festival due to her commitments to filming Dune 2. Nevertheless, she surprised everyone by making a last-minute appearance in Italy. Although she chose not to partake in interviews, she eventually joined her fellow cast members on the red carpet.

Wilde made efforts to dispel rumors of a rift, stating to reporters, "Despite her commitments to Dune, we are immensely grateful that Florence could attend tonight. As a director, I understand the disruption caused by losing an actor, even for a day, so I greatly appreciate her and Denis Villeneuve's assistance. We are truly excited to celebrate Florence's exceptional work. I cannot express enough how honored I am to have her as our lead; she is remarkable in the film."

An exclusive source informed We that the pair were maintaining distance during the promotional tour. The source added, "Florence and Olivia have had several personal and professional disagreements, which is why Florence is not participating in any press for the movie."

Earlier this year, Pugh declined to discuss the “media frenzy” surrounding Don’t Worry Darling during an interview with Vanity Fair.

She expressed her reluctance to discuss the Don't Worry Darling conversation, as she was more focused on the positive reception of The Wonder. She conveyed that she didn't feel the need to delve into the specifics of Don't Worry Darling and would prefer to leave it unaddressed.

On another note, American Horror Story has been incorporating drama and humor by poking fun at various pop culture subjects since Delicate's premiere on September 20. In a recent episode, Kardashian's character wore a dress previously donned by Madonna, which some viewers interpreted as a nod to Kardashian wearing Marilyn Monroe's vintage Bob Mackie gown at the 2022 Met Gala.
