During a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian shared that her 10-year-old daughter, North, openly expresses her preference for her father, Kanye West. North admires Kanye for his independence, mentioning that he has everything figured out and doesn't rely on a nanny, chef, or security like they do. In fact, she even cries and wonders why they don't have their own apartment like Kanye.

Kourtney, 44, expressed her understanding for her sister by recounting her own experiences with her children Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, whom she co-parents with her ex Scott Disick.

"They say the same thing at their dad's place. Like, 'Dad's house is the best. Your house is not good. His house may not be huge, but the atmosphere is better,'" shared the founder of Poosh. "I believe it all depends on the parent who is more present."

Kim and Kanye, both 46 years old, have a beautiful family consisting of their children: North (7), Saint (7), Chicago (5), and Psalm (4). Kim mentioned how impressed she is that her kids make their own food, particularly ramen. She jokingly commented on their ability to boil water and pour it onto noodles, much to the amusement of Kourtney.

Following nearly seven years of marriage, Kim and Kanye ended their relationship in February 2021. Once their divorce was officially finalized in November 2022, Kim openly discussed the difficulties of coparenting with Kanye. In an episode of the "Angie Martinez IRL" podcast, she emotionally expressed the challenges, stating, "I had the most amazing father. I don't want to become emotional, but today has been tough. Coparenting is incredibly difficult." Kim emphasized her desire for her children to have the same wonderful upbringing she had, sharing, "I had the best father and the most incredible experiences, and that's all I want for my kids. If they can have that, then that's what I want for them."

The ex-partners have maintained ongoing communication, with a focus on placing their children first. During a different installment of The Kardashians, Kim reminisced about informing Kanye that she had enlisted the services of a caretaker for their children.

Kim Kardashian explained in a recent episode that she had recently hired a male nanny, or "manny," to ensure that her children have a male figure to pick them up and take them to sports activities. She admitted feeling fearful about informing their father about this decision.

Kanye pleasantly surprised Kim by establishing a positive rapport with the nanny.

"When he brought the kids over, Kanye took the initiative to introduce himself and engage in a game of soccer with Saint and the nanny. He treated the nanny with great kindness," Kim shared. "He even went on to say, 'If you're going to be involved in raising my son...' because the nanny had handed the ball to Saint too easily. Kanye advised her, 'Don't do that. Let him retrieve it himself. These are some of the guidelines I would suggest.'"
