Yusuke is the leader of Team Urameshi and has recently become a Spirit Detective after sacrificing himself and dying. As Yusuke's rival, Kuwabara is known as the second-strongest student at Sarayashiki Junior High School and is constantly striving to surpass his competitor. He develops romantic feelings for the ice apparition Yukina and expresses his love for her through romantic gestures and words.

Jun Shison has been assigned the role of Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho. Kurama, also known as Shuichi Minamino, is the third member of Team Urameshi and initially a silver-haired fox demon. After being wounded while being pursued, he transfers his spirit into a human baby, Shuichi Minamino.
As he grows older, Kurama's psyche continues to dominate. A recurring theme in the series is his acceptance of his humanity and his ability to balance his dual personalities. Sharp and analytical, he is able to separate his emotions from his actions and accurately assess the situation at hand.

Kanata Hongo portrays the character of Hiei in Yu Yu Hakusho, a significant figure in the series alongside Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama. Initially introduced as an antagonist in the Spirit Detective Saga, where he almost succeeds in killing Yusuke, Hiei later becomes the fourth member of the Urameshi squad.
Throughout the series, Hiei is depicted as aloof, withdrawn, and enigmatic, consistently embracing his villainous image and often seen clad in black attire. He possesses a cynical perspective on the world, frequently displaying disdain towards humans and their emotions.
5) Keiko Yukimura

Sei Shiraishi plays the role of Keiko Yukimura in Yu Yu Hakusho. Keiko is the love interest and eventual fiancée of the main character, Yusuke Urameshi.
Preferential companions who progress into a romantic relationship, Keiko contrasts Yusuke in demeanor. She is composed and kind, but also possesses a fiery temper that Yusuke sometimes provokes. Nevertheless, she cares deeply for him and supports his duties as a Spirit Detective.

As a long-time fan of the Yu Yu Hakusho anime series, I am thrilled to see that Netflix is bringing the beloved characters to life in a live-action adaptation. The casting choices seem spot-on, with Takumi Kitamura perfectly capturing Yusuke's rebellious nature and Shuhei Uesugi embodying Kuwabara's loyalty and determination. Jun Shison's portrayal of Kurama promises to bring depth to the character's dual identities, while Kanata Hongo's Hiei exudes an air of mystery and danger.
The live-action adaptation has the potential to introduce the iconic Yu Yu Hakusho series to a new generation of fans, while also staying true to the original story and characters that we all know and love. I can't wait to see how the live-action series unfolds and how it brings the world of Yu Yu Hakusho to life in a new and exciting way.
