Kevin Hart has revealed that he uses jokes about his height to make people laugh with him, rather than at him. He admitted feeling self-conscious about being 5’2”, but he has found a way to deal with it through humor.

During a chat with Anderson Cooper on CBS’ 60 Minutes, the 44-year-old actor and comedian was asked to confirm his real height.

According to GQ, you’re 5’5″, but the L.A. Times claims you’re 5’4″, and another source even said you were 5’2″, Cooper mentioned.

Hart quickly responded, "Well, that source is not reliable. GQ got it spot on. I’m 5-foot-5, well, with a shoe on, like a sneaker. And if I wear a boot, I can stretch it to 5’5″ and a half."

He also shared his reason for mentioning his height during his standup routines. He mentioned, "I'm confident that when you laugh, it's not at me as a joke. You're laughing at the shared experience.

"I share relatable stories and speak the things others might be too afraid to say."

However, Hart previously admitted while doing a Lie Detector test with GQ that he is in fact 5’2″ and does feel self- conscious about it.

When the lie detector conductor asked him to confess his real height after claiming he was 5’5″ and 5’3″, he eventually admitted to being 5’2″, which was considered the truth.

After initially denying it, he eventually confessed that his height did make him feel "self-conscious", which was also found to be truthful.

In another part of the 60 Minutes interview, Hart was questioned about whether he is a billionaire. He responded by saying, "None of your business. Man, are you trying to get me robbed?"

He added, "I mean, hopefully, even if I'm not a billionaire, I believe the positive impact of my work is setting a new standard for others in the comedy and entertainment industry. It's not just about being in the business, but also about learning how to navigate and succeed in the industry."
