Kendall Jenner's Friends Saw the End Coming: Bad Bunny Split Wasn't a Shock (Exclusive)

Kendall Jenner's inner circle remains unfazed by her split from Bad Bunny, as they believed the high-profile pair lacked compatibility

Kendall Jenner's friends are not surprised by the breakup with Bad Bunny, but they're also not convinced it's completely over. "Friends weren't surprised by the split," an insider exclusively tells We. "They never really saw their relationship lasting long-term."

Jenner and Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) were first connected in February when they were seen on a date in Beverly Hills. They had mostly kept their relationship private, but their split was confirmed by multiple sources on Sunday, December 17. According to an insider, some of Jenner's close friends didn't believe that her relationship with the Grammy winner was very serious.

“They want the best for their friend, but Kendall didn't seem as compatible with Bad Bunny as she was in previous relationships," the source told Us, adding that some friends haven't ruled out a potential reconciliation. “Kendall has had a few on-and-off relationships in the past, so they wouldn’t be completely surprised if she got back together with him at some point.”

Following their initial outing in February, Jenner and the “I Like It” artist were seen on multiple dates in Jenner’s home state of California. In May, the pair appeared separately on the Met Gala red carpet in New York City, but were later seen together at an afterparty.

Bad Bunny opened up in June about his decision not to publicize his relationship with Jenner. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the singer expressed his concern about the public's scrutiny and the need to protect his privacy. When pressed to define his relationship with Jenner, he emphasized that his privacy is the only thing left for him to safeguard.

Jenner has kept quiet about her relationship with Bad Bunny, but an insider revealed in August that their bond had only grown stronger since the spring. "Kendall has been getting much closer with Bad Bunny over the past several months," the source explained. "Things were more casual when they first started dating, but after a short period of time she saw long-term potential in their relationship."

Before Bad Bunny, Jenner dated NBA player Devin Booker. They initially broke up in June 2022 but briefly got back together before confirming their final split in November 2022.

Last month, an insider told Us that some of Jenner’s pals are still hoping she’ll reconnect with Booker, 27. “Kendall’s friends don’t think she’ll be with Bad Bunny forever,” the source said at the time. “Truth be told, some of them are secretly hoping she gets back together with Devin again. That’s who they feel suited her the best and who made her feel the happiest in their opinion.”
