Kelsea Ballerini Unleashes Her Frustration with a Bold Gesture After Unexpected Performance
Kelsea Ballerini shocks fans as she boldly expresses her frustration by flipping the bird with both hands after delivering a powerful rendition of 'Blindsided' during her surprise appearance on the popular 'Call Her Daddy' podcast

Kelsea Ballerini let a little “rage” in while performing her song “Blindsided.”
Ballerini, aged 30, performed a ballad that seemingly reflects her divorce from ex-husband Morgan Evans during a surprise appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast in Nashville. The singer shared a video of the performance on Instagram on November 15th, where she defiantly raised two middle fingers after singing the lyrics, "You would have searched the whole world over? Yea, sure, OK."
After the show, Ballerini explained her decision to make the gesture, stating, "I've always wanted to defiantly raise my middle finger on stage, but I've always been a bit too nervous because I'm seen as a good girl. However, I do have a little anger inside me."
"Blindsided" comes from Ballerini's Rolling Up The Welcome Mat EP, which was released in February 2022. The EP has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album. Accompanying the song is a 20-minute short film that depicts Ballerini, playing the role of a woman, going through the stages of grief as her marriage comes to an end and she faces an impending divorce.
There were hints from Ballerini that "Blindsided" was partially inspired by Evans' track "Over for You," which he released in October 2022, two months after the couple announced their separation. Ballerini filed for divorce in August 2022 after being married for five years, and the divorce was finalized in November 2022.
"I may not have written a song like 'Blindsided' if I hadn't been inspired by something already existing," Ballerini shared with the New York Times in March.
Responding to "Blindsided" on Instagram in February, Evans, 38, expressed, "It's truly disheartening for me to witness this individual, with whom I have shared a significant portion of my life, and whom I loved wholeheartedly, saying things that are not factual and omitting what truly took place." He added, "She is aware that I don't publicly discuss such matters. If this is what she needs for healing, I hope it brings her solace."

After the couple’s divorce, Ballerini found solace in the arms of Chase Stokes. Their romantic journey commenced in December 2022, and Ballerini proudly announced their relationship on Instagram two months later.
During a February episode of "Call Her Daddy," she shared how she initiated contact with the Outer Banks star, 31, by messaging him directly. "I boldly entered his DMs," she revealed. "I took a leap of faith and reached out to him using his username 'hichasestokes.' I simply said, 'Hi Chase Stokes.'"
On Tuesday, Ballerini uploaded a TikTok video, featuring herself and Stokes, to her social media. The video showcased snippets of their time together, set to the tune of her new song "How Do I Do This." The heartwarming montage portrays the couple enjoying car rides, socializing at bars and concerts, swimming, and supporting each other at various events.
“Favorite human,” she captioned the footage.
