Katy Perry is still a big supporter of Taylor Swift. When asked by Access Hollywood on Monday, April 22, if she had listened to Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, the American Idol judge, 39, enthusiastically replied, "Yes, and so has the rest of the world."
In February, Perry, along with Travis Kelce, Taika Waititi, and Rita Ora, showed their support for Swift, 34, by attending her Eras Tour show in Australia.
After the concert, Perry took to Instagram to share a series of photos and videos, including a clip of her singing “Bad Blood” and a selfie with Swift backstage. She captioned the post with, "Got to see an old friend shine tonight ️."
The long-standing feud between Perry and Swift finally came to an end when they were seen together. Back in 2009, the pair became friends, but fans always suspected there was tension between them. Rumors even spread that Perry had stolen Swift's backup dancers after they both dated John Mayer.

Swift never confirmed “Bad Blood” was about Perry, but she explained that it was about a professional betrayal.
In 2014, Taylor Swift shared with Rolling Stone about a terrible incident that made her feel like she and another person were enemies. Surprisingly, it wasn't about a guy but related to business. The other person tried to ruin Taylor's arena tour by hiring away some of her team members. Despite her dislike for conflict, Taylor had to avoid this person because of the awkwardness it created.
By 2019, it appeared that Taylor Swift and the other person, later revealed to be Katy Perry, had resolved their feud as Katy Perry made an appearance in Taylor's music video for "You Need to Calm Down."
Swift shared on the U.K.’s Capital Breakfast radio show in June that they saw each other at a party, hugged it out, talked, and then met again at another party. She mentioned that she and Perry have been on good terms for a while and wanted to solidify their relationship before making it public.
A month later, Perry talked about Swift's 2018 Reputation Tour on KIIS 1065’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show. She expressed her support for Swift, emphasizing their commonalities and the unique understanding they share. Perry highlighted the importance of celebrating their friendship and being there for each other.
The Tortured Poets Department, which dropped on Friday, April 19, is Swift’s 11th studio album and features 31 songs.
