Kathy Hilton Dismisses Speculations of Reconciliation Between Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky
Kathy Hilton addresses sister Kyle Richards' separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, shutting down any possibility of reconciliation

Kathy Hilton doesn’t think her sister Kyle Richards plans on rekindling her romance with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.
Upon seeing [the news] for the first time, Hilton, 64, expressed in an interview with Today on Monday, November 27, that it was heart-wrenching. "Kyle — believe it or not — is the youngest, but she’s [also] the strongest and the bossiest."
Furthermore, Hilton stated that Richards, 54, is "strong and resilient," and her greatest desire for Richards is to find happiness. When asked by hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager whether Hilton believed Richards and Umansky, 53, would reconcile, she supported her younger sister's choice to go separate ways.
"Kyle wouldn't have taken it this far without putting some serious thought into it," Kathy remarked, as her daughter Paris Hilton added that her aunt was looking "better than ever."
Kathy's remarks come shortly after Richards and Umansky reunited for Thanksgiving. Umansky shared on November 23 a glimpse of their holiday celebration, with Richards in attendance.
"Alright, the turkey is carved and cooked. Show me. Can you lift it up?" he requested in an Instagram Story video showcasing Richards, who unveiled the contents of different chafing dishes and then took viewers on a tour of the kitchen.
In July, it was confirmed that the couple, after 27 years of marriage, had separated.
"We've had a challenging year," the couple revealed in a joint statement posted on social media. "It has been the most difficult year of our marriage, but we have a great deal of love and respect for each other. There has been no wrongdoing on either side. Despite being public figures, we are asking for the opportunity to address our issues privately."
According to a source, neither Richards nor Umansky had sought legal representation or initiated divorce proceedings at the time. Their priority was to maintain normalcy for the sake of their children. The couple has three children together: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Umansky is also a stepfather to Farrah, 34, who Richards shares with her ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.

Richards and Umansky are still living together as they navigate what's next. She mentioned in October on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that she has been staying on the second floor of their shared home while Umansky stays in the primary bedroom.
