During her conversation with Bunnie XO on the upcoming episode airing on Wednesday, March 13, the 51-year-old former TV personality opened up about her rocky relationship with former Mob Wives castmate Drita D’Avanzo, with whom she had a well-known feud during their time on the VH1 show.
Karen shared that she always supported Drita and considered her a friend. She mentioned that she was the one who introduced Drita to their group.
As fans of Mob Wives may recall, Karen was in a relationship with Lee D’Avanzo for six years during the 1990s. However, they ended their relationship in 1998. Drita later started dating and eventually married Lee. They went on to have two daughters named Gizelle and Aleeyah.
Karen and Drita initially agreed to put their past behind them before Mob Wives started filming. They sat down together and made a pact to show that no man could ever break their bond. When the show aired, they were determined to prioritize their friendship over any drama that arose.

However, during season 1, tensions between the women escalated as Karen and Drita had a heated discussion to address their issues. This discussion led to one of many physical fights between them. The strained relationship between them continued until the series concluded in 2016.
During the podcast, Karen expressed her dissatisfaction with how their conflict was portrayed on the show. She clarified that it was not about being an obsessed ex-girlfriend, but rather about respect. Karen emphasized that she always saw her ex-partner as an equal and treated them with respect.
Karen also talked about her upbringing with Sammy the Bull, who was once the underboss of the Gambino crime family before becoming a government witness against John Gotti. She revealed that her father had considered taking a different path when things got tough, and she was even approached to be involved when news of her father's ties to Gotti came out.
We arrived at the house and found it surrounded by news media. Once inside, my father's associates approached me, insisting that I deliver cyanide to him and tell him to end his own life," Karen remembered.
Feeling overwhelmed, Karen received a call from her father and broke down in tears. She pleaded with him to spare himself from further pain. After hanging up the phone, she questioned her actions, wondering, "What have I done?"
