As Taylor Swift continues her world tour, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for their upcoming NFL season at their own stadium.
The NFL recently announced that the Chiefs will kick off the 2024 season by playing against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5. This game will be a rematch between the two teams, as the Chiefs emerged victorious in the AFC Championship in January before going on to win Super Bowl LVIII. Interestingly, Swift, 34, who has been in a relationship with Kelce, also 34, since last summer, was present at both games to support her partner.
The NFL tweeted on Monday about Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes kicking off the 2024 season with the Ravens and Chiefs.
The season opener coincides with Swift's ongoing Eras Tour, which will continue with more stops in Europe and Canada until December 8. Fans are curious if Swift will be there to support her boyfriend, Kelce, who recently signed an extension to play with the Chiefs until 2027.
According to Swift’s official website, she will finish the European leg of her tour in London in August. After a few weeks off, she will kick off performances in the U.S. in October and Canada in November. As of now, there are no Eras Tour shows scheduled for September, so she might have the opportunity to support Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium.
The relationship between Swift and Kelce began at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs’ home stadium. During one of her July 2023 Kansas City Eras Tour shows, Kelce tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
They finally became a couple after Kelce shared the unsuccessful flirting incident on their podcast, "New Heights," with his brother Jason Kelce. Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023, solidifying their relationship.

Swift shared in her December 2023 TIME Person of the Year cover story that there was a significant amount of time where no one knew about her relationship with her partner. She expressed gratitude for this time as it allowed them to get to know each other better. By the time they attended their first game together, they were already a couple. Some people may have mistaken this game as their first date, but Swift clarified that they would never be so intense as to publicly announce a first date.
Kelce has been seen supporting Swift at her Eras Tour concerts, just like she supported him at his NFL games.
Earlier this week, he traveled to Paris for the last stop of Swift's tour in France. This Sunday show on May 12 was Swift's 87th concert, the same number as Kelce's Chiefs jersey. Kelce was seen enjoying and singing along to some of her songs, especially "So High School" from The Tortured Poets Department, which is believed to be inspired by him.
During her performances of the 1989 and Evermore sets, Swift showed support for Kelce by wearing the Chiefs' red and yellow colors. In addition, she sang "The Alchemy," a song from TTPD that is believed to be about Kelce, as one of her surprise songs.
