Taylor Swift has won over everyone in Travis Kelce's life, including his Kansas City Chiefs coach. Matt Nagy, the Chiefs' offensive coordinator, shared his thoughts on welcoming Swift, 34, into their football family.

"It's definitely rare, I mean we're talking about Taylor Swift, Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes," Nagy shared in an interview with local media outlet KCTV5 on Monday, April 22. "I know Patrick and Kelce beyond the concerts and golf venues, I see them on a day-to-day basis."

Even though Nagy has never met Swift, he was excited about her joining the group.

"We really appreciate having her as part of our family and team. What she and Kelce have accomplished is truly impressive," he mentioned. "It's great to see them both being such humble and talented individuals, excelling in football and singing."

Nagy wrapped up by saying, "We are truly enjoying the journey with them. We are proud to be a part of their story and look forward to seeing where it goes."

Kelce's relationship with Swift has been in the spotlight ever since he mentioned his desire to make a move while attending her Eras Tour performances.

During an episode of the "New Heights" podcast in July 2023, Travis shared with his brother Jason Kelce, "I was a bit disappointed that she doesn't interact with fans before or after her shows to save her voice for singing the 44 songs. I wanted to give her one of the bracelets I made, but she didn't meet with anyone, including me. I took it personally, but the show was incredible. Kansas City really showed up."

After Taylor Swift began attending Kansas City Chiefs games in September 2023, the NFL saw an opportunity to leverage her popularity by featuring her music in promotional clips and frequently showcasing her on camera during broadcasts.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his enthusiasm for the buzz surrounding Swift's relationship with Travis in November 2023. He mentioned to CBS, "They appear to be enjoying their relationship, which is fantastic. This has not only brought together more fans of Taylor and the NFL, but has also generated significant attention. Taylor is an incredible artist, and Travis is an exceptional player. The league benefits from this kind of exposure, so we embrace it."

Travis, 34, was caught off guard by the public attention. During a podcast episode in September 2023, he expressed his desire to keep his personal life private and respect both his and his partner's boundaries. He mentioned that she is not as much in the media spotlight as he is, hosting a show weekly and appearing on other shows during the NFL season.

In contrast, Swift brushed off any negative feedback from certain football fans.

Swift shared with TIME in December 2023 her confusion about how people know which suite she is in. She mentioned a camera located far away that captures footage without her knowledge. This lack of awareness makes her unsure if she is being shown multiple times or just once during broadcasts. Despite this uncertainty, Swift stated that her main focus is supporting Travis Kelce. She emphasized that she is not conscious of potentially appearing too frequently on screen and potentially annoying some viewers.
