Kandi Burruss hasn't had any recent communication with Kim Zolciak-Biermann, but she has been aware of the ongoing drama surrounding her former co-star's divorce. During BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas, Kandi expressed her sympathy for Kim's family, acknowledging their beautiful dynamics.
Regarding Kim and Kroy Biermann, who have a considerable number of children, the speaker expressed her strong desire for them to resolve their issues. Kenya Moore, a cast member of RHOA, also shared a similar sentiment, stating that she is not invested in the drama. Instead, she wishes the best for both parties and hopes they can reach a point where they can effectively co-parent their children.
Us confirmed in May that both Kim and Kroy jointly filed for divorce after being married for 11 years. According to court documents obtained by Us during that time, the date of separation between the couple was listed as April 30. Following a tumultuous period, which involved Kim's request for Kroy to undergo a drug test and Kroy's accusation that his estranged wife needed a psychological evaluation, the pair decided to reconcile and called off their intended separation in July.

However, the reconciliation was short-lived as Kroy filed for divorce once more in August. He sought full custody of their minor children, namely Kroy "KJ" Jr., aged 12, Kash, aged 11, and the twins Kaia and Kane, both aged 9. (Kroy had previously adopted Kim's eldest daughters, Brielle aged 26, and Ariana aged 22, after their wedding in 2011.)
Friends were aware that Kim and Kroy's reunion would not last, as it was plagued by constant arguments and financial struggles. In October, Kim sought primary physical custody of their children with joint legal custody in a court filing. Additionally, the couple is facing severe financial difficulties, with both parties expressing concern over the foreclosure of their Georgia mansion, a situation that was confirmed by Us in February.
Kim hasn't been a full-time cast member on RHOA since season 5, while Kandi remains a consistent presence on the reality series. Kandi has also faced rumors about her marriage to Todd Tucker being in trouble. However, she assured Us that their relationship is thriving, stating, "We're doing better than ever." Kandi doesn't let the fans' speculations affect her, finding it amusing and often exaggerated.

Kandi shared that her situation is unique compared to other Housewives whose marriages haven't endured the challenges of reality TV. She clarified that most people on the show were already married when they joined, but in her case, her husband Todd was a producer and they got married while appearing on the show in 2014. Because of their experience in the industry, they understand how it works and are not affected by the negativity and drama that may arise online.
