Just a few weeks ago, it looked like Jürgen Klopp would leave his role as Liverpool manager on a high note. The team was competing for the English Premier League title, was a top contender in the Europa League, and had reached the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. Winning three more trophies to add to the League Cup they had already won in February seemed like a real possibility.
However, Klopp's time as manager, which is coming to an end this season, will not have the fairy-tale ending that Liverpool fans had hoped for. Unexpected losses to Crystal Palace and Everton have dashed their chances of winning another league title under Klopp. Additionally, the team's exits from the FA Cup and Europa League after surprising defeats to Manchester United and Atalanta have left fans disappointed.
Liverpool's hopes of winning the title took a hit after a 2-2 draw with West Ham on Saturday. The chances are slim, as only a collapse by both Manchester City and Arsenal would give them a shot at the title.
The push for a 'quadruple' of trophies has hit a snag this month, with the club's season ending on a sour note. This was evident during Saturday's draw, as Klopp was seen having a heated exchange with star striker Mohamed Salah on the touchline.
As he was about to enter the pitch as a second-half substitute, television coverage showed Salah and Klopp exchanging words on the sidelines.

Klopp approached the forward, sparking a reaction from Salah. After Klopp walked away, Salah continued to express his frustration, gesturing with his arms. Teammate Darwin Núñez, also preparing to enter as a substitute, stepped in to defuse the situation.
In a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Klopp did not elaborate on the incident but mentioned, "We already discussed it in the dressing room. As far as I'm concerned, it's resolved."
Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, now a pundit for TNT Sports, shared his thoughts on the situation. He mentioned that he couldn't lip read, but from what he saw, it didn't seem positive for the club.
Crouch highlighted that Mo Salah, a key player who usually starts for Liverpool, was benched. He pointed out that players like Salah, who are used to being in the starting lineup, are usually not pleased when they have to sit on the bench.
"But it's never good to witness tension between a manager and a key player.
Liverpool's recent performance has been a bit shaky, with only one win in their last five league matches. Currently, they are in third place, trailing behind Arsenal by two points. However, it's worth noting that Arsenal has played one less game. Manchester City is in second place, one point ahead of Liverpool and with two games in hand."
Salah hasn't been performing as well as usual recently, especially in the Liverpool attack where they have missed many chances in their recent games.
His last goal in the league was during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, a match that appeared to mark the beginning of Liverpool's run of bad luck.
Since coming back from a hamstring injury he got while playing for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Salah has only managed to score three goals for the team.
"I'm not really up for discussing that, to be honest, or even thinking about it," Klopp mentioned in an interview with TNT Sports, referring to the title race.
“We had to win here, we knew that, and we didn’t.
“Now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We will try to get the boys ready again and we will go again.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool has agreed to a compensation deal with Dutch club Feyenoord for Arne Slot to become its new manager, according to multiple reports.

Jürgen Klopp's reign as Liverpool manager appeared to be destined for a triumphant conclusion just weeks ago. The team was still in contention for the Premier League title, the Europa League, and the FA Cup, making the possibility of winning three more trophies to go along with their February victory in the League Cup seem very real. However, Klopp's tenure as manager, which is scheduled to finish at the end of the current campaign, will not have the happy ending that Liverpool supporters had hoped for. Liverpool's hopes of winning the title suffered a setback following a 2-2 draw with West Ham on Saturday. The chances are slim, as only a collapse by both Manchester City and Arsenal would give them a shot at the title.
The pursuit of a quadruple of championships has hit a snag this month, and the club's season is ending on a sour note. This was clear during Saturday's draw, when Klopp was seen having a heated discussion with Mohamed Salah, the team's star striker, on the sidelines. Television footage showed Salah and Klopp exchanging words on the sidelines as Salah was about to enter the field as a substitute in the second half. Klopp moved toward the forward, prompting Salah to react. Salah continued to express his frustration after Klopp walked away, gesturing with his hands. Darwin Núñez, a teammate who was also getting ready to come on as a substitute, intervened to calm things down.
