Jon Gosselin is still not on speaking terms with ex-wife Kate Gosselin and six of their children, but he hopes the tide will change — eventually.

Jon, 47, shared exclusively with We on Thursday, April 25, at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center West Hollywood grand opening that he always wishes for the best for everything. However, as adults now, he believes that they have to make the decision to change the situation. Jon expressed that he can't keep reaching out and getting hurt all the time.

Jon told Us that he hopes things will improve with Kate, who is 49 years old. He mentioned that their kids will eventually get married, so a lot of effort is needed from Kate's side. Jon expressed that he has tried reaching out and extending olive branches to Kate, but unfortunately, his efforts have been rejected.

Jon and Kate were married from 1999 to 2009 and have eight children together. They have twins Mady and Cara, who are 23 years old, and sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel, who are all 19. After their divorce, Kate was granted primary custody of the children. However, in 2016, Kate decided to have Collin admitted to a treatment facility due to alleged behavioral issues. Jon and Collin both denied the claims, prompting Jon to seek full custody of his son in 2018. Jon also gained custody of daughter Hannah before the sextuplets reached 18.

Jon shared with Us on Thursday that Collin and Hannah are wonderful. He mentioned that they store their belongings at his house and have the freedom to come and go as they wish. It's worth noting that they are nearly 20 years old now.

Jon mentioned that Hannah interacts with her siblings.

He added, "The other kids engage with Hannah, not Collin. I always make an effort to communicate with her too, but I don't receive responses. Maybe things will be different in the future."

Collin decided to join the military, while Hannah is busy studying at the University of Miami. As for Jon, he is putting his energy into his relationship with his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo.

Jon happily shared with Us that Stephanie always brings a smile to his face, hinting at their future together. He expressed his intentions to propose, excited about the idea of getting married and feeling confident that she will say yes.

Jon shared that his relationship with Lebo is different from his previous marriage.

He reflected on his past marriage, describing it as being filled with challenges like dealing with the media and feeling hesitant to share personal information due to fear of it being leaked to the press. Jon mentioned experiencing PTSD from that time.

In contrast, with Lebo, Jon felt more comfortable and open. He expressed that enough time had passed for them to develop a friendship, allowing him to openly communicate and work towards being his true self again.

Jon is exploring a DJ career and recently had a gig at the grand opening of the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center. He also tried injectable treatments similar to the ones offered at the center.

Jon shared, "My friends have been encouraging me for a while to try these treatments. I was hesitant at first, thinking 'You're not a doctor.' It's like when they suggest trying a new pizza, it's different because this is something going into your body that you need."

Editor's P/S:

Jon Gosselin's ongoing estrangement from six of his eight children and his ex-wife Kate is a poignant reminder of the complexities of family relationships. Despite his hopes for reconciliation, Jon recognizes the need for both parties to make a conscious effort to mend the broken ties. His decision to cease reaching out to Kate, who has repeatedly rejected his attempts to connect, highlights the emotional toll of unrequited efforts.

Jon's positive relationships with Collin and Hannah offer a glimmer of hope, but the lack of communication from the other children remains a source of pain. The contrast between his current relationship with Stephanie Lebo and his previous marriage to Kate underscores the importance of open communication and mutual respect in building healthy relationships. As the children continue to grow and navigate their own lives, it remains to be seen whether time will heal the wounds that have separated the Gosselin family.
