Jon Bon Jovi Compares Son Jake and Millie Bobby Brown's Romance to Marraige to Wife Dorothea

Jon Bon Jovi is confident that his son Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown will succeed in their relationship, despite their young age.

In an interview with U.K.'s The Times, Bon Jovi, 62, shared that he has gotten to know Brown over the past year and believes that she works hard. He expressed his belief that Jake and Brown will grow together in their own unique way. Bon Jovi sees similarities between their relationship and his own experiences 40 years ago, and with the support of their families, he believes they will be great together.

Bon Jovi was talking about his marriage to Dorothea Hurley Bongiovi, his wife and mother of their four children. They met in high school and got married in 1989.

Their son Jake, who is 21 years old, proposed to Brown, who is 20, in April 2023 after dating for over two years. Some people have questioned their ages, but Bon Jovi supports his son's choice to get married.

"They are growing together," he shared with E! News in a February interview. "Their love is strong, and we adore them both for it. It's an exciting journey."

Bon Jovi hinted at possibly performing at Brown and Jake's wedding, although the wedding details have been kept secret. Additionally, his eldest son, Jesse Bongiovi, is engaged to girlfriend Jesse Light.

The singer joked that hosting one, two, or even three weddings this year would help offset some of the costs. He mentioned that all the couples have wonderful partners and they are excited for the celebrations.

In a different interview, Bon Jovi enthusiastically praised Jake and Brown, emphasizing that age is not a determining factor in their abilities.

Age may not matter when it comes to finding the right partner and growing together. This was shared by a musician on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” in May 2023. Their advice is to focus on growing together, which is wise. The musician mentioned that all of their children have found someone they can grow with, and they approve of them.

Brown initially kept her relationship with Jake low-key during the early days. However, now the Stranger Things star openly expresses her love and admiration for her man.

During an interview on Good Morning America in September 2023, Brown shared, "It's been such an amazing part of my life. Planning our wedding together has made it even more special."
