John Stamos understands why Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, is causing a stir in Hollywood.

“Is there anyone getting more phone calls right now than Charlie Puth?” Josh Gad playfully asked on Instagram. He listened to the 34-year-old pop star's new album with his two daughters on Friday, April 19. (Puth, 32, was mentioned on the title track “The Tortured Poets Department” as a singer Swift had previously praised.)

Stamos, who is 60 years old, suggested to Gad, who is 43 years old, another idea by saying, "What about Kim K?"

Swift shared on Friday that she created a double album called The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which consists of 31 songs. One of the bonus tracks, titled "thanK you aIMee," includes Kim Kardashian's first name in the title and hints at their ongoing feud.

Swift sings about the time spent building something while someone else was throwing punches. She expresses her inability to forgive the hurtful feelings caused by the other person. Despite screaming out in anger, she also acknowledges the healing process that followed.

Josh Gad shared on his Instagram account about the connection between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian. In 2009, Kanye West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs. Later, West mentioned Swift in his song "Famous," with controversial lyrics.

West said Swift gave him verbal permission for the lyric, but Swift denied this. Kardashian then shared a video of her husband's phone call with Swift, but it was later found to be doctored. In 2020, Swift wrote on Instagram Story that the call was illegally recorded and manipulated to frame her, causing distress to her, her family, and fans for 4 years. Kardashian denied Swift's claims.

The Kardashians star has made efforts to move past the drama, mentioning in a podcast interview in 2021 that she enjoys Taylor Swift's music. In a TikTok video from 2023 that has since been deleted, she even danced with her daughter North to Swift's popular song "Shake It Off." However, Swift seems to have delved into their highs and lows in her song "thanK you aIMee."

"And perhaps you've changed your perspective on the situation. You never truly broke my spirit," she sings. "I don't see much difference in you, so I've given you a new name and erased any identifying traits."

Swift goes on to say, "And then one day, your child comes home singing a song that only we will know is about you."
