Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard had two sons, Israel and Samuel, in 2015 and 2017. They enjoy sharing their lives with their young children. The couple previously appeared on TLC with their baby boys before leaving the network in 2017.
Three years later, the author of Growing Up Duggar revealed in a YouTube video the "distance" that has grown between her and her extended family since she left.
"We're not on good terms with some of my family," Duggar stated in the October 2020 video. "We've had disagreements, but we're working towards healing and restoration. It's just going to take some time for us to heal."
The pair spoke exclusively to We the following month about the “drama” they still experience with her family members.

"We feel that we are now in a good place for our family and have a grip on our lives. ... Some people are more supportive than others. I think it fluctuates with a family of that size. Every family has their own drama, and when you have so many more people giving opinions or whatever, it can get chaotic."
